    Thanks Pastor John for testing the K-2 Mini. As always very informative. The K-2 Mini performance matched what I observed in the field, although I was using the original drive key . I see one comment indicated some concern about finding a broken drive key in the game while eating it. That thought did cross my mind as well. The deer I harvested last fall K-2 Mini was missing the drive key on one side. I always warn the meat processor if my broadhead or a blade is missing so they do not get cut. The drive key is small and probably not as likely to harm the processor but I still let them know and even showed them the remaining drive key so they are aware of how small it is. Love you stuff Pastor John . I hope all your adventures are blessed.

      Thank you Patrick. I appreciate you sharing that. Yeah, I don't worry about the drive key being in any of my game. The chances are so so small...and the piece itself is so small for that matter. But thank you for saying that just the same. God bless.

    Any chance you could do a broadhead battle between this head and the sevr TI 1.5?
    Or, if you could only pick between this head and the sevr 1.5 which one would it be?

      @LuskArcheryAdventures  4 года назад

      Thanks Cameron. They're both great heads. I've taken a lot of animals with both. I like the way the Affictor blades lock, even when pulled backwards. But the Sevr 1.5 is the toughest mech ever made.

    Dont know how often you are on here, but it is Oct 15th and I was about to purchase these, however they are hard to find. Order direct? Might be a week before I see them in WI though. I love how you have responded to most all comments and the review was done extremely well. Blessings, Terry

      They sent me these heads to test, but then later told me they were still trying to tweak the design a bit to improve them even more. If you can get the older model, I'm sure they'd be fine. I have no idea when the new ones will come out.

    The drive keys breaking off in the animals is somewhat alarming. I mean we've all choked down some birdshot before, but its not sharp.... glup.

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  4 года назад

      Yeah, but they rarely come off in an animal--and especially in tissue. If they do, it's in a bone.

    Those are a cool mechanical, nice unique design. Faired well against the steel plate. Great test brother.

    John would u choose the k2 mini or the ultraviolet for shooting deer???? Also they seem similar besides the tip is there an advantage over 1 or the other.... thanks for ur comments and keep up the great reviews...

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  4 года назад

      They're both very good. I'd be confident using either one. The only real difference is the width of the tip, which is pretty minor.

    I'm curious to see if the updated tip bolt will be more durable.

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  3 года назад +1

      It is more durable...I have a test of it coming out soon. But there is still A LOT of pressure put on that tiny leading pin; I'm not sure any material will make it as durable as some other designs...but durable enough for sure.

      @@LuskArcheryAdventures I actually had the screw come out on the fixed K2 after shooting a field tip in the same hole to see how they flew. I certainly won’t try that again. My tip and main blade are still in my target Chris is a cool guy and sent me a rebuild kit to fix it though. I certainly didn’t expect him to. I bought another 3 pack and a rebuild kit. I’m hoping they get some more of the 125 minis ready before season. I’d like to try them along with the fixed.

    Does every hybrid model from Aflictor have bleeders that shear off on impact? If so, well, maybe I'll try the grim reapers instead. Thanks Mr. Lusk for the great tests

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  4 года назад

      Well, they don't shear off on impact, necessarily. They function as bleeders to a point, but if they encounter something especially tough, they do shear off. Thanks for watching and commenting. I did test the GR Hybrid and it did very well. Check out that vid as well.

    Is it possible to replace the drive keys?

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  4 года назад +1

      Yes it is. I will say, it is not the easiest thing to do, but they can be replaced.

    I’m not a big fan of their expandables, but their new fixed blade heads look very durable

      Thanks for watching and sharing, Vital Point. I've did a vid test of their fixed blade heads as well, here on my channel.

    Not a fan of having bits of metal break off by design into the meat of the animal I intend to eat

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  4 года назад

      I can understand your concern, but it's such a small piece...and typically they don't come off in an animal. And for that matter, a lot of mechs losing blades or pieces of blades in animals. But thanks or sharing that just the same.

    O-ring...to bad.

    • @LuskArcheryAdventures
      @LuskArcheryAdventures  4 года назад

      I used to think the same about O rings. But they have improved so much over the years and now hold up very well and allow for easier blade deployment in most cases.

    • @zzz7zzz9
      @zzz7zzz9 3 года назад

      @@LuskArcheryAdventures so true. alot of heads now, the o-ring doesn't even go 'over' the blades, like the original styles did.
