We thought of visiting nort wales some time this year, but now I don't know. The fun fair now brings tears and wonderful memories we had, I hope some one builds the fair back up.
i went to ocean beach with my parents when i was age 6-16 an went myself age 21- 30 took my daughter there from age 1-9...such a shame it is no more we always stayed at sunnyvale
I hope Rhyl gets the proposed development and investment it so badly needs, so that in 30-40 years time there is another generation on here talking about the wonderful times they had visiting this special place, don't think I could go back until there is some visual signs of recovery, it would be too sad, but here's hoping it can get back to something like its hey day. decent fitba team as well in Rhyl
as a child rhyl was a fantastic place for family holidays,I have many happy memories.shame its gone down hill like other seaside towns, influx of eastern Europeans, down & outs put into the affordable rental market has sealed its future.talk of redevelopment, new foot bridge from the headland to where the old fun fair was that doesn't go anywhere at a massive cost, just hope this investment isn't the white elephant the monorail became. sorry to say for the near future in my eyes its rip rhyl.
I know Ryhl is considered a joke but this is really sad for me... the closet memories of me and my dad were here. I understand the fun fair and ryhl its self has next to no tourism and holiday goers but it just annoys me that local councils dont act to stop things getting so run down that it comes to this. There really is no need, probably a council members back hander for..... wait for it.... new flats! sea side towns are about fun... must be me?

Sad but it was a rotting mess before demolition. That being said the retail park that's replaced it isn't exactly imaginative regeneration.
rhyl not the same without the fun fair
Remember as a child loved the funfair every year until 2008 didn't what to go back
