As someone who went to a boarding school the adversity you face for being black is no joke. I loved this show -- and thank God it was a comedy otherwise the way it was hitting home would've been way too dark

@fredblogs2023 Kind of impossible because the boarding school is outside of london. The only reason there were African descent people in it because they were offered a scholarship. Boarding schools don't give out scholarship for the same program every year...

I went to that school. Clifton college in the 90s. Mr T.G****r , the English teacher used to pick out the black students shouting 'Stop swinging from the light shades' He'd send us off to the tuck shop (back then in the Colson centre ) to get wine gums, but 'No Blacks' he'd scream.
Why swing from the lightshades,weren`t there any trees available?
Mr T.G****r was also a prolific distributor of cp.
