Give action man 2 servo arms and a square chute and slope soar him in formation with your glider! Love how the glider seems to fly around and over Action Dude to make sure he is ok. Too much fun!!!
Brilliant. What a fun. You both (rc pilot + camera lady) switched into a higher gear. Its the beginning of "real entertainment" and story telling. Pls keep going. Enjoy the summer.
Whenst I was a wee child, many moons ago. My dad had an Aeromaster. He would rubber band a foam cup to the top of the wing. I would place a parachute with a weight on it. He'd take off, climb a few hundred feet, do a roll and release the parachute. I'd run to catch the parachute, quickly repack the parachute---Just as my dad was landing, I would be running up to the plane to start the game again! I loved it, he did too! Your video reminded me of that! Aaah, good times! Your videos and planes rock!
Too much, Sir John! Absolutely brilliant! Super clever. I'll bet with a small rigid loop on top of the chute canopy and a forward facing straight "hook" on the bottom of the fuselage at the c.g. you could retrieve Joe midair and fly him back, suspended beneath the glider. Or take him higher up, and tip the nose down and drop him again.
I think u may have started a new fad John !! Could watch that all day ! and thats one my favourite gliders !! Awesome to watch Mistro !!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊👍👍👍👍
hello . actualy you have good controll in your glayder and this, is for grate making adn ofqoarce grate pillot , im grajolate for you bro . im nader and from iran good to sse you,🌹🌹
Hi from France South East... Nice parachuting... Well done. Last day , you give the Océan Breeze plan to Outerzone... It's a Gift... My next glider...👍 Many thank's. .. Maybe one day the Dragonfly ... (Please...! JML
G'day John. I made a para drop module and can carry up to six paratroopers. If you think one looks good, wait till you see 6 of them all in a row. Getting them to land back where you are standing takes a bit of practice. Thanks for a great video
Que grande john tambien tenes un paracaidista, buenisimo. Me encanta ese planiador con el fuselaje descubierto. Disculpame pero te voy a copiar la idea 👍
That was a ton of fun to watch. I like the parachute, what did you use for the shroud lines? Last summer I took the fabric (rip-stop nylon) off of a broken umbrella. It had little fittings around the edge for the umbrella ribs, made for easy attachment of the shroud lines. I used some 1.5 mm nylon twine for the shrouds. I used a Snoopy (Peanuts) figure as the sky diver. He was a big hit at the flying field last year. He's still hanging on a hook out in my shop. You may just have inspired me enough to rig a new model for him this year. Last years jump plane has been sold.
Nice. Do you remember there was an R/C skydiver made in the late 80s, by Robbe I think. It had a servo operating each arm which pulled on the risers to steer. It would freefall until you opened the chute by moving both arms together.
your lucky to have access to a great cliff for slope soaring i have done it twice and loved it - and how did you get the GI-Joe To fall on command its awesome i love it and watched many times thank you for this video.
Thank you. It was a great fun video to make. The Action Man has a string attached to his back, with the other end attached to a servo operated release pin under the wing. He is effectively hanging under the wing but it looks like he is sat in the plane. I just needed to bank the glider a little when I released him, so he falls out cleanly.
The passenger is sat under the glider CG, fixed in place using a servo operated release mechanism. The parachute is home-made using ripostop nylon.

This brings back childhood dreams of making parachutes for my action man. Wishing I could take him really high to drop him.
Give action man 2 servo arms and a square chute and slope soar him in formation with your glider! Love how the glider seems to fly around and over Action Dude to make sure he is ok. Too much fun!!!
Great idea- maybe even a paraglider chute--
Thank you John for keeping the kid in all of us alive and well. Great job both of you.
Brilliant. What a fun. You both (rc pilot + camera lady) switched into a higher gear. Its the beginning of "real entertainment" and story telling. Pls keep going. Enjoy the summer.
Very nice parachuting from your glider, perfect drops and landings! 👍
My inner 10 year old me is absolutely loving that ! I reckon you're just like me John...a big kid at heart😃👍
My inner 52 year old also enjoyed it greatly 😄
Simon, stop talking to yourself. We know you're 62 since you've got a 10 and 52 year old self inside ya. Hahaha
@@TweakRacer no shit! 😀 But usually the 52 year old child wins when it comes to toys 😁
@@bokusimondesu Just funny to see two Simon's commenting hahaha Better tell 52 y.o. Simon to buy 10 y.o. Simon better toys then :)

Absolutely excellent! The only time I saw Action Man on a parachute was from the top of our stairs!
Me too
i always wanted to do a parrashoot jumper.....and a glider tow.G.I. Joe on a parra-glider to is on my list....very KooL,very KooL......
That was fantastic John! I used to make parachutes and chuck my G.I. Joe as high as I could throw him.
Original and brilliant. This is why we come here.
Beautiful. I love the soundtrack,too.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for your service Action Man!
Bless you from a big English kid a little lost in a French forest. 🏆⚒️🇬🇧
I had a smile on my face during your entire flight . . . It felt good . . . Thanks from Bob
Wow that amazing John and Caroline at least there was a co pilot on bard to navigate it to safety. All we need now is the seagull!
Remarkable flying, John, and a fun idea to add a parachute. I look forward to seeing more of your imaginative ideas.
SO RELAXING !!
JUST WHAT WE NEED TO SEE BEFORE SLEEPING, AND HAVE WONDERFUL DREAMS !!!!
THANK YOU JOHN 🤗🤗🤗
Perfect sized chute for the figure. Loved the way the jumper hovered in the updraft. Good show.
Thanks, that little man is a Hero, living life on the edge. I love every second of it.
Thanks for brightening my morning!
Always good fun dropping a parachute, nicely filmed 👍🙂
Great flying and a fun idea. An extra challenge for your camera person and well met!

This video is so beautifully done! Thank you so much for brightening my day!
Thank you for sharing John! Love the pirouettes and the glider is outstandingly simple yet at the same time very elegant!
Fantastic model and video thanks!
John, thanks for actually doing the cool stuff we've all thought about doing! 👍😀

Can't you just watch the video for what it is -------------- NO --------------- your dirty little mind comes into play.
Very cool. Dig this.
Really cute , 👍 complimenti
the little boy in me loves this! 😃
Love the skydiver ... but tell us more about the glider ... love the structure

Great fun and a real crowd pleaser.
We did something similar! And kids loved It!
This makes me smile! :D
Now that adds another dimension to slope soaring…
Great idea 👍👍
If only you could make it across to Normandy and then drop GI Joe behind those German pillboxes.
Bellissimo complimenti🤗
Muy bueno!👋👋👋👋👋👍🖖
Who new parachutes could slope?
That's great... how about a v on the front as an in air recovery system .. very James bond ...
That's a lot of fun!
Молодец
Красивое развлечение для детей ! 😁
Now that was cool to see 😄👍👍🇺🇸

Realmente hermoso, lo vuelas con cero fallas, muy lindo
Lotsa fun😄
hello congratulations for the videos I liked it a lot! I would like to add the project of this glider if possible of course !
John, any chance of a video shwing how you made the shute, and the release mechanism??
Will do.
Next you'll make the passenger pickup with the helium balloons 👍👍👍

Disappointed...... You didn't catch him once ! :-)
John, what is the name of this glider? Looks are awesome and you dropping action man made it even more exciting.
I haven’t thought of a name yet. It was just a one-off experimental build.
Now imagine adding one of those really small and cheap video cameras to GI Joe...
That’s a good idea....
Do you have fellow pilots that share this perfect slope?
There is only a small bunch of us that fly this slope regularly.
Smashing
Cool!
What glider is that?
Phenomenal...!
Thanks, it was just a one-off experimental build made from an old set of wings I had.
Wanderfull models John! Do you sell this planes? Do you have a website ?
Hi there, glad you like the gliders. It’s just a fun hobby for me, I don’t have a website or anything.
Super Mr John.I guess you made several trials before, because it works very smoothly. Is the jumper French?Congrats ans cheers?
Is he ok ? Didn’t see any movement after he landed 👍
He has now become an adrenaline junky, not sure what he will get up to next.
Great
Klasse Film absolut schön WELCHES MODELL IST DAS ?
Vielen Dank. Das Modell hat keinen Namen. Es war nur ein einmaliger experimenteller Build
@@SlopeRCGliders Tnx for Answer John
wow!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Extra 👍
I'm only disappointed you didn't catch him 😅
Respected
Can you plz tell me woking principles
😨🐨🌏 pilot. jump low battery. well done .Keith Australia
Good to see! Where did you put the radio gear?
It’s all hidden up under the wing. The battery is in the nose to keep the weight forward.
👏👏👏
Nice glider! What is the name of the glider?
Thank you. It doesn’t really have a name yet. It was just a one-off experimental build.
