the fact that despite these team running almost the exact same pokemon, the sets for each pokemon were completely different. these two teams were nothing alike. plus nat dex wont be better. itll just be the same pokemon weve been seeing for years instead of for months. nat dex = ininceroar. incineroar = no fun for anyone
Fr man, like I want to get into VGC cause I love battling and high level strategy, but it always seems like to win you gotta have the same 4-5 mons and that sounds so boring
Love the humbleness in the players just wish they had a little more diverse teams, I get metas and stuff but that’s why gamefreak should even the spread with all mons so we don’t have matches that put me to sleep because I can predict every move going to be made
Lmao Paul made a good opening play on game 3 but misplayed badly when he switched rk9 into the Flutter Mane slot. He then proceeds to win with 3 consecutive lucky plays: pollen puff crit to remove sub, 1 turn sleep on flutter mane and 1 turn sleep on Palafin. Too disgusting lol.
@Magan Hassan as someone who used to be competitive in a different card game, the feeling of winning is so much sweeter when played out. And Honistly for this specific match he may have still had a chance with two mons left. I didn't think he was fully out of it. And from an audience point of view watching it play out is more satisfying and rewarding than just having someone quit. For games up to the finals, sure for time go for it. But the grand finals of such a large event should be played to conclusions. Think about any other sport, how would you feel if all of a sudden your favorite football team had 2 minutes on the clock was down 10 points and just quit? It would suck cuz even in 2 minutes you could make a comeback.
@@NightFox15 in the perfect scenario where palafin wake up, arcanine used protect and flutter mane remained asleep, what could he even do? If he attacked the palafin and (again, best case scenario) critted with wave crash, thr opposing palafin wouldve died, yes... And then amoongus was with flutter mane on the field. Arcanine couldnt protect again because of how risky double protects are, flutter would wake up because max turns of sleep and it wasnt in jange for the jet punch to KO. His shadow ball kod both mons back and they were faster. If palafin aimed the wave crash at flutter, then we had tera water palafin and amoongus on the field against arcanine (who, again, couldnt protect) and palafin. Palafin can KO both mons with wave crash. If Gabriel managed to win, it would be just because of human error. The odds are extremely low, and even if he got it, you and i both know that the feeling that you won because the other player missclicked/played badly/was unlucky is worse than the feeling of losing because both played amazingly, but he just played a little bit better
So glad to see this set uploaded, this was one of the best sets I’ve watched in my entire life. Congrats to both players for such high-level play.
They definitely knew what they were doing with that thumbnail
Paul locks in his moves so quickly, my goodness
Paul is using power of friendship in the finals to win
You can hear the crowd cheering for knockouts and such right before the recorded video footage catches up to it happening, love to hear the hype.
30:17 that scream was perfect lol
There is another one when flutter's shadow ball did enough damage to not allow substitute
Agati making into Finals and also winning the last IC is something else, the man is too strong
Being able to watch this live was insane. Great Match!
Gz for both, I couldn't tell the winner up to the last KO!
Palafin is it’s own best counter
wow i didn't know Pros like gabe could be so cute too 😍💖😻
Sheesh I had to double check the title when I saw the thumbnail, thinking there is no way Gabriel and the word Pokémon would be associated
Why is that? Is he a famous person
Well, Gabriel Agati is probably the best VGC brazilian player of the last gens, so that isnt a surprise
anyone know how to get the team sheets from these teams?
That was a nerve-wracking game!
A magic bounce pokemon couldn't resolved that entire fight the only setback would be that spore doesn't affect grass types
I was there at the time, such a hype set
I remember being there to watch lol that was fun to watch
10:49 why didn’t he use flare blitz?
Gabriel Madeira? Is this a Portuguese name?
yeah, he's brazilian
Ele é brasileiro.
@@RyutaShinohara Yay! My country in the finals. Too bad he lost
@@gui7667 Legal!!! Meu país nas finais. Pena que ele perdeu
Gabriel 😳😳😳
Paladin does disgusting damage. It’s ridiculous 😭
Edit: Palafin*
Man. Nat dex needs to come soon. It's literally palafin, iron bundle, flutter mane. Ting lu, chiyu and that's it
When the Nat Dex comes back it will be the same but with landorus and regieleki
the fact that despite these team running almost the exact same pokemon, the sets for each pokemon were completely different. these two teams were nothing alike.

@@Flora_of_the_Moon possibly. But some mons got some major moveset nerfs
Amoongus, landorus, incineroar. I dont think i have to say more
dawg shut up
How do you get into the world finals? You gotta be top 10 or something?
Hopefully nobody gets disqualified, this time
congrats on getting your own shiny code dedicated to you, paul
What game is this?
😮😮😮
They really had 1 different Pokémon out of the countless options… this is sad
Fr man, like I want to get into VGC cause I love battling and high level strategy, but it always seems like to win you gotta have the same 4-5 mons and that sounds so boring
Whouua le dernier match !!
What game is this
Pokémon scarlet/violet
Good work Pokemon
Didn't they send a child home because an adult accused him of being a jerk when he nervously laughed when asked about his pronouns?
Love it, factor bullshit wins. 😊

Choose a pokemon Red or Green

Hes so fine
oh he is FINE
Jesus christ! These commentary teams force you to watch without sound. Goin on a mile a minute
Palafin Arcanine Amoonguss Flutter Mane: the mirror
Basically not a lot of originality in regards to pokemon use
its so sad to see them using the same 5 pokemon. like how many pokemon are there???!? meta gaming ruins fun in games
I know these pople
Amongus
People
I'm glad no one giggled at any pronouns. Could have been real bad
Announcers were super annoying
Cause they were women?
I'll say it every time, you should not be allowed to forfeit in the grand finals.
Why? If you know you'll lose Why waste time playing 😂 they accepted their loss that what happened

@@NightFox15 his arcanine was dead next turn to jet punch and his remaining palafin had no way to kill the opposing palafin and amoonguss it was over.
@King Slaughter arcanine was packing Protect, so it could of still played out given hype moments to add to the already existing ones.

Ban amoongus and arcanine.
“What are your pronouns?” Hahahaha!
It's so boring everybody is always using the same team.
have you done ANY research at all? if you look at tge top 16 of this tournament you see A LOT of variety
Pokemon knew what they were doing putting Gabriel on the thumbnail
Gabriel kinda...🔥🔥🔥
i clicked on this video just to see someone agree with me 🔥🔥🔥
