Another gem from this terrific pianist. Absolutely beautiful, I couldn't decide what I liked the best. He told lots of little tales in the Schumann; so different from what I've heard before. He changed my very ' anti ' mind re the Prokofiev though. It was adventurous. I adored the Tchaikovsky and the Shostakovich was so different and terrifying at the end. The Rach preludes never sounded so beautiful when I tried to play them many years ago. I think Russians understand Russian composers better than anyone else. Thanks for the great sounding download. Pity about so many empty seats, 2020? Covid 19?
His risk-taking at 57:20 to play it with emotion rather than just executing it is what brought me here from another video, my favourite take on the jumps
What a great musician! Why doesn't he play all over the globe? So beautiful! Matusev won the Tschaikowski-competition and meanwhile he is a member of the jury over there like the great and underrated Russian pianist , maestro Vladimir Ochinikov!
I've never heard such an amateur and messy performance of Stravinsky. The rest was, as always, violent, tasteless and vulgar. Also lots of head shakings and silly facial expressions.

Гений!🎉🎉🎉🎉
The most fucking demented interpretation I have ever seen of Petrushka's last movement. Absolutely unchained, love this.
От Шумана слезы на глазах, это так чувствительно и так по-доброму.💐
