They are the Marauder shields of GOT, but watching GOT season 8 did make me realize Me3’s ending could’ve been way worse then it was and the devs did try to made it better While D&D just continued to make things worse lol
I go back to these songs sometimes, to remember. Remember when winter coming meant the apocalypse, when everyone's lives hung upon it. To remember the impending sense of doom and dread the appearance of a single White Walker brought with it. In a way, I suppose we got what we were promised though. A good show died when winter came.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, I LOVE it, so two thumbs up for you doing it again! :D Really adds to the feeling of this harsh setting and dark theme. I also think you absolutely knock it out of the park with these dark fantasy songs, what with Fires Far, Halfman's Song and even the dwarves' part in Call of Home. :)

@@wrongthinkwallace1528 - Apparently, D&D explain that by statiing the Melisandre's spell worked, and that princess Shereen's sacrifice was what repelled the winter. And that the audience was supposed to get it. They really messed up after season 4...

Stark supporters and Targaryen supporters get along about as well as Ice and Fire, don't be surprised.
The Starks can actually defeat the Targs. They just need to stay in the North.

This song really brings home an important point about the story of GOT/ASOIAF, one which is easy to forget in the show and even easier to forget in the books (because of Martin's point-of-view style of writing), which is that when the Starks' catchy motto comes to pass, it simply won't matter who's on the Iron Throne, or who's on whose side in the war, or whether someone wins or loses, because what's coming from the North is so much worse than anything Westeros has ever faced, and in the face of such horror, all men and women are the same. Really, the only person who'll still be in a position to even CARE about the Iron Throne will be Dany, and only because she's safe across the sea.
My guess is that Dany will manage to cross just in time for the dragons to fry a ton of white walkers. But that's just a guess.
Aldowyn As cool as that would be, I get the feeling that Martin is having Dany slowly realize that conquering Westeros is her brother's dream, not hers. I think there's a good chance she'll stay in Slaver's Bay for good, realizing that she's needed there. I still hope for a white walker / dragon showdown, though ;-)

cvrc11 If you've read the books, the last book (so far) leaves Danny in a very bad position (I will not spoil further), so her dream of conquering Westeros might be gone in the final book. Also, if the people of Westeros found out that they can use obsidian to kill the white walkers, then the winter might not be THAT bad.
I can just imagine this song starting to play quietly in the background whilst the camera is stationary on the floor, looking at the wall.
Then the rising sound of a horse slowly trotting from behind the camera.
The horse abruptly stops with its front in front of the camera but does not show the rider.
The song continues whilst nothing happens. Suddenly, the song stops at the end of the first verse, and you hear the saddle moving.
Pale white and wrinkled legs jump from the horse in front of the camera obscuring the wall. The white walker then screams in skroth and the sound of the nights watch horn plays three times as you hear more footsteps behind the camera.
It then cuts to the credits when the chorus comes booming in full volume and bass.
End of a season/episode 9. Chills all around.

Deathwatch mann None willingly; often times in class I would be forced to listen to the foul things produced and put on the radio, but whenever that did happen I just tried to ignore it and hope that it would end soon.
There's so much good music being made, just stay clear of the mainstream stuff that is only produced to infect idle minds and make money. There will always be people who makes music because they are passionate about it, but that is not what the mainstream is about.
It's crazy how well this song relates to the newest episode "Hardhome".

I've been listening to this since it was released, and each time my ear picks up a bit more of the many sounds that make this song so great. Something I could be wrong about though, but the violin near the end sounds in such a way that really reminds me of the tune behind Raines of Castamere. Not exactly, but enough to almost be a sort of nod to it.

I like the way George R R Martin made it so there is a huge summer and a huge winter. It shows that they are from another realm and that their solar system would be different to ours..Like how the planet would be further from the sun for a longer time as well as closer. Interesting stuff really.
