Technology is developing much quicker than we are, that is the bottom line of it all. And yes, short form content is what we've adapted to, for example; tiktok. I don't usually like films, never have really watched them. Now I can't, I literally can't bare it, the storylines are so slow and my attention span is so short.
Technology has been forced upon humans because it makes us "better" in our new opinions, but everything revolves around your perspective of what's better or worse, I agree with the movies thing by the way, it's so sad because a lot of them are very good
You might appreciate Adam Curtis' documentary "Hypernormalisation" which is all about our retreat into a constructed reality. Though the documentary itself being another piece of content to consume is kinda ironic -- so maybe just keep making your own videos instead lol
