I understand the point their making, but the word "Unterraformed" Just makes me think of Aqua Teen Hunger Force in how nonsensical that is.

"Xenoformed" would be a more correct term, since these bio-terrors who are xenos, foreign to us, are remaking Earth into something more suited to them, and less suited to us.
