This is me!! Projects that looked good at the moment, also garage doubles as a sentimental holding for the dearly departed items from family. So hard to let go yet! I'm leaning towards a shed!!

Hi Shannon! Huge fan and have been watching you for awhile. You showed me I could paint my own furniture and diy projects. Without it looking terrible. Lol From one ADHD sister to another. Lol Anyways I'm finally going to do your faux wood Pottery Barn dupe. I love the regular wood look and the grey look as well. The grey is just a little to grey for me. My question is I'm wanting to do the regular wood look but maybe add just a hint of grey to it. First do you think that would even look right and if so how would you go about it? I didn't know if I could mix a little of the briarsmoke with brown glaze or maybe add the grey at the end with the dry brushing? Look you already have me sounding like I know what I'm talking about. Lol If you have any ideas, tips, or even maybe a video idea. Hint Hint! If you could let me know I would really appreciate any help. Hope you and your beautiful family is doing well. Oh I apologize forgot I'm on my husband's phone. I'm Melissa a 41 year old mother of 2 and beginner DIY'er. Lol

Hey Melissa!!! What I would do to get that look is layer aged oak gel stain and Briarsmoke I do some layering in this video to give you an idea of how to go about it but basically apply one gel stain and wait for a day if so for it to dry and then apply the next one. You can even layer the water based ones over the oil as long as the dry time is fully waited out. 💕 I really like the sound of that look, I may try to recreate it myself so look out for a video too! But here’s the old one with stain layering, dif colors and old video but you’ll get the idea of the process

One suggestion I would like to make to you Shannon is to please invest in a used commercial paint shaker I believe you will find this one of the best pieces of equipment you will own.

I watch a lot of furniture folk from high-end restorers and restoration to the usual sprayer set up folk, but you’re one of my favs because you make it very, very accessible. I’ve had such wonderful success with your brush-on-roll-off method. And it requires no clean up! Thank you for everything you do.

Love the paint in jars ... but with 2 cats and clumsy me, that's not a realistic solution. But the way you corral your supplies inspires me to finally reorganize my workshop. Thanks!

Looks great! I noticed the Ball jars in the cabinet look so organized and accessible. Do you store leftover paint in them? I’m also trying to straighten out my garage to work with pieces and I’m further motivated after your video. Thanks.

They are really pretty is the main thing, but it does make seeing what you have really easy at a glance for picking colors and is great for storing left over or when the can gets too crusty on the edges. I;m so glad I did some organizing! I still have more to do but it was a good start!

Because I flip furniture in a part of my basement in the cold months (I’m in SE Wisconsin) and garage in the warmer months, organization is key. I couldn’t function if I didn’t organize. Thanks for sharing how you did it.

Oh my gosh did I need this video? My garage is a mess and part of my house is a mess and I’ve got stuff laying all over the place. My one question is how hot does your garage get with those paints in there? Do you have an air conditioner in there? I live in South Daytona Florida, and it gets about 8485 in my garage and I’m just wondering if that’s gonna be OK for the paint but I tell you what your video is awesome thank you so very much!! ❤

My garage doesn’t get too hot, I’m in north ga and we have a big shade tree I think that’s why. Florida is on another level with that heat 😅 I don’t know how you do it!
