One of those theater experiences I’ll never forget. I sat in the second row with the screen covering my entire vision, even peripherals, and it was LOUD. Every scene with a rifle shooting and engine revving would shake the seat and it was SO immersive. Loved this film
What you typed perfectly sums up why I love George Miller. He makes the roar of an engine, the rumble of a motorbike and the crack of a sniper rifle sound like the most thunderous, earth shaking things on the entire planet.
The sound of the engine with background music when chase the first guy is fxxking great!!! The great George Miller! Please make another one Mad Max movie!
This scene is beautifully executed in all facets. I saw the film thrice in the cinema. After obsessively viewing this scene here on YT I realize all the uncanny similarities it shares with the ending chase scenes in the very first Mad Max film, when Max steals the Pursuit Special and then hunts down Toecutter and his gang. Said similarities exist in the cinematography and editing techniques, in addition to the camera angles and viewpoints. The only big difference I can tell is that Smeg's eyes didn't pop out of his skull nearly as much as Toecutter's when they met their grisly ends 😉 After all these years I marvel at George Miller. He appears to understand the language and musicality of cinema. And he takes what appear to be simple chase films about vengeance, and elevates them into great art.
Don't think many people have realized this scene is somewhat of a homage to the first Mad Max, where Max is hunting down the last of Toe-cutters gang in the black interceptor, just as Furiosa is hunting down the last of Dementus gang.
I can certainly see the parallel now you mention it. That last scene is when Max truly becomes "Mad Max" and it's this scene where she truly *Becomes* Furiosa
This final chase is exactly like the first one, go fast, stop at gun range, eliminate each and single one, even if taking down all of them wasn’t originally in the plan, Furiosa only wanted Dementus, but was willing to go a bullet at a time to do so.
Btw, as much as i enjoyed Furiosa, my slight complaint is with Anya Taylor Joy, who killed it in the role (also shes great in anything she does) doesnt really have a resemblance to Charlize Theron, especially in the eyes. I dont really see a resemblance.
They're both Ford model a from the 30s but different design based on the engine. Nux car have two front v8 engine supercharged and furiosa car is a tubocharged v8 engine naturally aspirated at the rear of the vehicle
@@demetriomejia6063 According to the Madmax.fandompage - "Nux drives a highly-customized 1934 Chevrolet 5 Window Coupe. A classic hot-rod stripped of all paint with a big-block V8 engine that's both super-charged and turbo-charged".
4:10 I don't know why but this scene has something that looks sick, Furiosa almost look CGI, and I like it, they really picked a really good actor for Young Furiosa, Anya Taylor really nailed it.
My favorite final-evolution form of any Pokemon ever, no comparison. She is so terrifyingly persistent and efficient. Also, one of the baddest-assesest cars I've ever seen
The "someone competent and excessively resentful" line made my theater laugh.
Same here 😁
Full of Bossority
It's kinda of a fourth wall break through, lol.

Agreed, I had a similar experience. It was mind blowing.
Movie will be a classic in 30 years.
I bet already in 10!
Gen Z is going to piss their pants and get sucked into quicksand.
I give it a good 8 years... classic
@@jaredburke9445I'd say 5 years as it goes free on streaming.

Sadly we’re probably not getting Mad Max Wasteland. All we can hope in the future is if a great director reboots the series.
Exactly, GeorgeMiller.sHugeFan. The first sentence you typed perfectly sums up what enthralls me so much about G. Miller 🔥🔥
1:53 oh god, hearing the engine in imax was amazing
A shame the sound isin't the same of the trailer, but is cool anyway

And her torturing dementud is like max torturing johnny boy
I feel ya, roflman. Check out my comment in the top of this thread, if you haven't already done
so 😉
Which all condenses into this being a nice reversal of the opening of the movie, with Mary Jo chasing her daughter's kidnappers. Miller is a genius
Wasn't the sand pit from Mad Max 2 or 3 as well?
I can certainly see the parallel now you mention it.

The score HITS !!! I love this film
I ❤ this movie. Finally something good from Hollywood.
Good from AUSTRALIA, conceived , written produced and filmed in Sydney and NSW outback. Zero Hollywood creative involvement.
This scene is epic ! Tyvm buddy 🙂
She was like a bat out of hell on a mission , incredible sequence

I’m glad we got to see the rock riders again!
This whole movie gave me hearing loss ... It was so worth it. The theater experience I had was one of the greatest moments of my life.
Post more furious scenes 🙌🏻

Her acting makes up for it, her voice near the end is identical
Movie of the year
Does this vehicle even remind you of Nux's silver hot rod from Fury Road?
Not much. Cranky Black is a Ford Model A Sedan from 1931. The other one is a 1934 Chevrolet Master Coupe 5. Different weapons aswell

The car driven by Nux is a Chevrolet 5 Window Coupe from 1934. It is incorrectly described as a Ford 5 Window Deuce Coupe on the official website.
@@ufoarchives7830 thank you, i alway thought that it was weird that both car were describe as the same model yet the designs are diferent

Christopher walkin just doesn’t do it for me as the emperor. The guy who played Tywin Lannister is how i imagined him from the books.
Poor war chariot... :,(
THIS IS FUCKING CINEMA!!!.
