Great explanation. Thank you, but my belt keeps jumping to the right 1 notch on the power steering pump. Everywhere else looks straight. Tensioner, Belt, PS Pump, Alternator are all new parts. Any idea what it might be?
I changed the power steering pump on my 2011 crv and belt started slipping towards the engine. The pulley doesn’t go far in because the part where it stops on the shaft is more outwards. Can I shave off the pulley to make it align? Thank you
Ive a 1987 Chevrolet S-10 2.8l V6. The serpentine belt jumps one groove off the AC compressor. It rides one groove off towards the front. The ac compressor pulley looks worn from the belt riding offset one groove. Previous owner mentioned he replaced power steering pump. PS pump pulley does have a small wobble as if its not seated all the way on. How is the PS pump pulley put on, hammer it? I know to use a puller to get it off.
Thank you for the video. Mine belt slid off to the side of the Power Steering Pump Pulley, but the O-ring let air in my power steering and the fluid was bubbling and spraying out the top. I went to get another belt at AutoZone and there are "mechanics" working on cars in the parking lot, and I paid a low price to have them change it but it did it again. Get what you pay for I am guessing. I finally took it to the shop and they said the pulleys were aligned and good and they installed the new belt and after 25 miles so far so good. I am hoping it stays that way. You sharing about the power steering fluid helped relieve my anxiety. Thanks again.

I've been having this problem with my 2009 Mazda Tribute. Has anyone else had this issue? With their belt falling off?
Great Advice ✊🏾☝🏾🔥
Is this going to be a costly repair. I am worried

What about the motor mount? Can a bad motor mount cause a belt to walk off?
I want to know the same thing, did you ever find out?
Thank you
