- Meet the new Yamaha R1M - the top-spec Yamaha superbike. It’s our new long-term test motorcycle and it just arrived - so we went to the Yamaha dealer to do the unboxing and the first engine start.
We have some big plans for this bike: to ride both on street and track, to transform it to a racetrack killer and to put it against its rivals. Stay tuned for more.

All motorcycles come like that. Easier to transport since you can load them on top of each other but you won't be able to do that if it was not in a box. Also sturdier, no movement.

This bike is beautiful. my favorite brand, yamaha is yamaha, the best ones without doubts. I'm completely in love with this bike and I want mine :))) Congratulations for the video shows very well the details of the machine, it is very beautiful, lovely

A very lucky kid you are. Be thankful for having that awesome bike. I have one yamaha bike on my garage, been my partner during my younger years and they are truly dependable bike. You can never go wrong with YAMAHA.
RonB Young Living How is he a kid? or in your words very lucky? He obviously worked hard and saved money to buy the motorcycle. There is no luck in that. You make your own "luck". Don't give me a lecture because I am a very mature 24 year old. I am saving money right now and once I graduate from my university, I will buy my bike. That's not luck.
Thank you for going easy on her and not revving the piss out of it! I die inside when people bounce brand new motors off the chip lol.

Just received my new R1M last Tuesday, having so much fun with it here in Nova Scotia’ s Annapolis Valley. It’s great being the first guy having one in my area, putting a full Yoshimura exhaust on it next

You obviously know nothing. Stock exhausts on any car/bike from the factory restrict the bike's power because of all the emissions/sound regulations in place. Once you get a full system, it will let the bike breathe better, giving you performance gains with a proper tune.

Brother, never ever start a new bike straight out of the "box" without checking all the other fluids. You may have but you didn't mention checking them. Just to be sure and to not ruin a new motor the factory failed to check.

Incredible looking bike! I had the very first R1 in 1999 and was an amazing bike and sure miss it! I don't really care for this exhaust sound though! It sounds too much like a twin or a Ducati..I guess maybe I'd get used to this beautiful machine though!

Did you check prep manual before starting it? May not have oil in it. I hope you checked and made sure.
