This is a brief guide to the Songkran Festival in Thailand. Many people visit Thailand to celebrate and take part in the Songkran Water Festival, but many tourists don’t understand the significant cultural value of the festival to Thai people.

Songkran is the Thai voice, but Sangkranta is the Khmer voice. People around the world including the UNSSCO have never realized these words. Surly, in Khmer scripture, we have the word Sangkranta at the temple of Vimean Akas, Baksey Chamkrong... in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
