    Our country, Myanmar, your neighboring country also has Water Festival (Thingyan Festival) too. Did you forget about us? Thank you for sharing about yours traditions btw.

    Songkran originates from indian festivals as buddhism originated from india. India and southeast asia are very similar culturally.

The image is from a Japanese festival (based on the observation of Taiko drummers, female dancers wearing traditional kimono, and Japanese lanterns). Thank you.

    There are reoccurring themes in European culture for when things get too bad in society, that the people all around secretly pray for a rain that will wash away all their sins, all the muck and grime that surrounds them. _Some day, a real rain will come down and wash away all the foul_
    *this is a dream held by some that have never heard Songkran*
