No words. He’s been playing on my Spotify for years now however I hadn’t stumbled on this live performance. It’s sublime. Only way I can experience the pleasure of live Synthwave in 2020-21. Here’s to throwing up our hands in the air together in a room in the not too distant future. Keep the Synthwave movement going!

Keep in mind there are many ways to enjoy an event. Everyone is different and prefers different things. I think it's really cool that a whole group of people dedicated to all be in the same place, same time, and celebrate this music collectively, with the person who created it at the helm!
It's not about "Oh man he's just tweaking knobs! I bet it's all playback, etc" we live in a time where everyone is so isolated and sometimes as a creator it feels like you are just throwing your creations into the void of the internet and only see likes and play numbers. This event was special for the creator and the people who spent time and money to attend.

genialer Sound. Endlich kommt mal wieder vernünftige Music raus. Die 2000´er und 2010´er waren bis dato die grässlichsten Jahrzehnte der Musicgeschichte. Seit 30 Jahren läuft im Radio der ewig gleiche Scheiss rauf und runter.
Diese Music hier hat Stil und vor allem worauf es am meisten ankommt, sehr viel Gefühl!!!!

I recently saw TC1983, with Korine and Arcade High as openers. I've seen my fair share of electronic music over the years, so I feel like I have fair expectations for a live performance, be it a DJ/live set or synth artist. I went in with high hopes, but ultimately was disappointed with his live act, especially after seeing the other two bands (each with two members) perform with stage presence and high energy. If you're gonna play only this type of dreamwave you gotta figure out some way to spruce up the live act (a band? Varied equipment usage? Improvising a little?). No dynamic to the set list, just one song, done, silence, next song, done, silence - it felt like I was listening to Spotify. He hovered and occasionally pressed some synth keys (and since the music is slower tempo this felt like watching someone play piano chords one at a time). There was a 3-4 minute long 80s video montage that was looped for the ENTIRETY of the time. It was cool the first one or two runs. Not after the 10th.

Mostly, would be nearly impossible to do it all live with just one artist. Anyways, the presence of the artist and the community is making the thing worthwhile (and it's worth it!)

I love TC's music but when it comes to his live performances he basically does fuck all but play flac files and hits the same 3 keys on the keyboard
I love timecop, but in my opinion he should invite someone to make at least the vocals on the show zwe know he's a well skilled composer but seeing him just playing his records it's a bummer... At least play some keyboards! Just my opinion I love timecop and all his work!

I find this odd. There are vocals, but no one is singing. He in essence is djing. Yes, he's pressing keys but there's nothing there. It's like a Spotify mix live. Not good.

Yup, for the most part he is simply playing the studio album, with a woman singing for one song (I;m only halfway through this.) I wish it was actually live, like The Midnight does, but I guess when its mostly electronic you can't really do that.

Right ok Nate - on the laptop he is using a music producer software Ableton - anyways for Timecop1983s use for the laptop is cause he is a 1 person live P.A but not a full fucking band ffs meaning on the software on the laptop he his cut out sounds like keys etc he needs the software for the vocals at most for the beats n Voice sync so for everything esle u c him doing he's doing it live P.A he's a 1 person band 100% just not a singer lol anyways listen 2 the best song of Timecop1983 u love n reply 2 me here how u could play every sound at once but having 2 control effects vocals cause the singers them selfs arent there 2 keyboards all at once waiting for ur reply buddy Dj Turley
