Still waiting for the bluetooth adapter (One of those shut up and take my money things) and my setup would rely on it because my controller is encased and cant be accessed
This gets my vote. I did a (very) quick search for 'ttl bluetooth module'. It looks like there are a few hoops to jump through to get a working solution. Modules are available, but getting the interface between the phase runner and the Bluetooth could get messy, unless done properly. A better solution would be a phase runner with Bluetooth built in, but that's a bit difficult to retro fit!
Can you do a video on Shengyi SX2 geared hub motor with the base runner and all the programming tutorials for that including checking for fault alerts at the base runner.
are there any plans to upgrade the cycle analyst ? color icons would be nice and it would be cool if it has less of a DOS look .. perhaps a breakout box to get some of the submenus up front let me know what you think
Thanks for the video Mate. But you didn't explain the advanced setup. Can you please make a video going deeper on each feature of the software? Also, It's pretty safe to say that me and other thousands of phaserunner users are waiting for the Bluetooth module. When it will come out? I'm quite disappointed about that... It is taking such a long time
Question: I live in Germany and I’m currently looking into buying a kit that includes your product, as I understand German E-Bike regulations, there is a nominal 250 Watts Average output allowed for electric assists. This means that there can be peaks of more on uphill situations and any Regen or downhill times should count as ”negative” output in this equation. Do you feature a software adaptation to apply this? I’d love to combine this with a Max speed and a Max power peak level to be set.
Rick ! Its says 750w but you buy a 1000w contin battery but the bbso2 750w puts out 1000w to 1200 peak an 1470 with a good 52v battery . I should have bought a 1500w contin battery as 1000w rated drawining 1200w could damage the battery
Been reading on endlesssphere the bbso2 and hd are very close motors size etc . An enginner tests them and the copper mass is not much in it at all and the case is bigger by 30mm wide and extremly very close to dimensions . Even worth a read its very interesting. Maybee the bbso2 could run at 30 amps and 60 volts .only brunovseamsxto have played about with it . But sure it can run 5amps at 1500 watts as long as riding with common sence and not 10 min at 35 mph . Sure you could cruise at 27mph and put a temp probe in the motor an watch the heat
Hello Grin tech...I have a swagtron Eb5 pro plus ebike and it has a 36v geared hub motor ....would I use your default settings for your smallest geared motor. I don't know the pol pares ect ect, I was hoping that the phase runner would have an auto tune feature because I don't have the spec sheet for the motor.
Hey Darren, yes in this case normally start with the parameters of the closest hub from Grin, and run "autotune" after that. The software will never be able to guess the actual pole pair count, but it's not all that consequential if it is off, and you can tweak it after the fact if you want by comparing the speed as reported by the phaserunner software suite with the actual speed. If the software says the bike is going 45 kph, but your actual speed is 30 kph, then you need to set your pole pair count 50% higher for it to be correct.
@@GrinTechnologies Thank you so much for the reply. I will order the phase runner but I'm just trying to make sure I have the correct info to make it run correctly. I'm watching your videos so I can understand pole pairs a bit better. I want to run the motor at 48v instead of 36v. I will order one soon. Thanks for the information again...it really helps...
It does require an initial throttle application after the controller has been turned on. It would make more sense if it started automatically with the wheel spinning but that is not the behaviour that ASI has on their firmware.
Hi, i get the connection error 201 trying to download latest defaults from Grin, obviously can't establish the connection , i let the program through the firewall, and disabled antivirus, anybody knows the solution ?, Thanks

More info for Bafang BBSHD would be really good. Thanks.

Good stuff 👍
inspires much confidence from me that there's an appimage for linux of this software
i just wish it was open source too

Can I hook a voltage meter to it or tiny led screen through cycle Analyst wires

At the moment we don't - sorry! With a cycle analyst you could always look at your ride time and total Wh to see what your average power is though!
does this controler wor with the 48v 1000w 1200w ebikeling line of hub motors?
Yes, but you'll need to run autotune and change your connectors over to match.
You do a plug an play bbshd . Will you ever do one for the bbso2b 48v750w . Would be good

Is virtual free wheeling activated by turning the motor or just throttle application?
