For something like socializing. What could potentially be an example of a predicted outcome that is measurable? Good socially is very subjective, and OCD will always make me doubt

Hi, Dr. Abramowitz! I am an undergraduate student studying psychology at Northwestern and I have learned a lot from your work. I am currently finding your resesrch very helpful for a paper I am writing about the inhibitory learning model for exposure therapy. I plan to attend grad school soon to become a therapist with a focus on exposure therapy and treating anxiety disorders. Your research has caused me to consider UNC as a top option for grad school. Thank you for being so open in sharing your research!

Hi Dr. Abramowitz! Thanks for the videos and resources! ILT has given me a lot of hope. I had a few questions... What is cognitive restructuring and how can I avoid it so that ERP is more effective? What are retrieval cues and how do they work? Also, I have a tremendous struggle with rumination. I want to tolerate fear but then I ruminate a little and it's a cycle. What can help me? How can I deal with very sticky, annoying thoughts? Also, when I am living my life, I sometimes remember a certain obsession and I get this rush of fear/anxiety. It's very short but feels so real. Will these feelings disappear if I do successful ERP?
