    Distance: 91km
    Ascent: 266m
    Descent: 480m
    End of day elevation: 2058m
    Weather; Sunny, 21°C
Regardless of how the video turned out, here's how that day went down...
Had a very nice morning camped on the shores of the A&M Reservoir.
As was usual, Bobby was up and out of camp before I.
The ride along the remaining 25km's of the gravel surface was lovely and very peaceful...and the left turn onto Hwy 63, and what was to be the last of the gravel, provided for 40km's of flat and tailwind-assisted riding to Hwy 287. Immediately after turning right, there was a longish but fairly gradual climb, followed by a long and easy descent into Rawlins.
As Bobby was ahead of me, he texted me as I was approaching and to indicate he had pre-booked a room for me at motel beside the main road into town...at a very reasonable price...nice one Bobby!
After getting settled in and heading to the grocery store across the street, we decided to walk into town and visit the local pub for dinner and beer.
Had a very nice evening in Rawlins.

LoL I love me a good timelaps 😅 You never know what unexpected things might transpire to get you some unexpected results. And I'm glad it happened, and here's why. Your musical taste is spot on and you're good at finding soothing tunes that match and catch the energy and ambiance of your videos. I'm not sure you would have used the tune in this one if it wasn't for your mistake activating timelaps. It was the perfect choice for this one. Needless to say, I'm a sucker for that genre :-) Looking forward to a few extra minutes tomorrow, I've already watched this one 5 times 😅
    Cheers 🙂

Haha, I guess it takes a number of repeat views just to get a sense of where I was riding...glad you found it entertaining! After I realized what I had done, I thought it would be fun to post it anyway... it seemed to work. Thanks for the complement about music selection...that genre seems fitting for a ride through the CDN/US West. Cheers A.K.!!

Thanks Dave! LOL, certainly takes a keen eye to make sense of all that imagery whizzing by so fast!! Yes, you did warn me...next time I won't eat them... ;-). Cheers!

Hahaha, at that speed I would have done the whole ride in a few minutes!

I did the same thing on the single track coming down off the pass between Holland Lake and Seeley Lake. I had about 5 seconds for the entire descent. I didn't run it the entire time as I thought I was in normal mode. I was so sad about it. Why did it happen on one of the more scenic sections?

Oh man, sorry to hear...but given how sensitive and small the screen is, it's completely understandable...and I would be surprised if it didn't happen more often to folks...but then again, most people would pay more attention that I... LOL! I too was a bit sad (or maybe pissed off) at first, as it was a beautiful section of the ride...but the imagery was captured, so I can hit pause anywhere and see it for more than a few seconds...and it ended up being somewhat humours, I hope... ;-)
      Cheers!

just goes to show that managing the ride, the camping, eating, hydrating, and videography all on a bike isn't as easy as some make it appear. it can be a handful and switching to time lapse mode by accident is way too easy to do...

I can't agree more...as mentioned, it's so easy to mess up with those small, sensitive touch screens. It was a valuable lesson (among many learned) to pay more attention. In the end, I was fortunate to make "something" out of that footage that was actually humorous (at least for me). As the old adage goes; "if all you have is lemons, make lemon-aide..."
      Cheers!

Yes...the touch screen is so small and sensitive that it's actually quite easy to mess up...taught me to pay more attention for sure!
      Cheers!
