Viking or Broadsword are my go to for one handed swords weapons, I run defensive in boss fights where most the party has wiped so lots of adds are hitting me but I can constantly swing on the boss. So yes. However, defensive requires you to swing in order to get the defensive bonus. If you are kiting so not all the time swinging Warriors flat 2% bonus per rank might be better then defensive stance.
@@sunshinethatyoujusthavetow7708 but the problem with the Warrior one is that its for Melee defense only and the defense stance is for all damage (special attacks, spells, etc). on a side note - i ran my own tests today to find the best dexxer build and fire aspect poisoner with fencing beat out all other melee DPS by far
@@sunshinethatyoujusthavetow7708 100 poison, 80 alchy, 80 anatomy, 80 parry, 80 healing, 80 tactics, 80 taste id, 80 fencing, 60 tracking (yes this is enough to save your ass almost 100% of the time). 10x bronze poison damage/ignore poison resist links. 1h with shield. lvl 10 fire aspect and with this exact build its enough for me to go toe to toe with almost any level 4 dungeon mob (without kiting)
Really interesting stuff! Having me rethink my dexxer build here.
Thanks! I personally was amazed at how close the baseline damage was on mace fighting, fencing, and swordsmanship.
Anybody giving uo outlands promotions gets a like from me!
what is the best sword and sword stance to use for l4 mobs? defense + viking sword?

Interesting I'll have to check out that build. And true about warrior being melee defense I hadn't considered that.
