The chipmunk album made me smile. I am surprised so many welĺ known artists passed away on Christmas.

“Dave, I want a hula-hoop!” Rupert Holmes is also an author. Pick a Zep and stick with it!!!

Hi Doug! Dave Clark Five had some great songs. I have a few Elton records including a mint copy of that one. If you show up to the party in July, I’ll make you a pins colada Doug. Saturday Night Fever soundtrack was one of my first LP purchases. Still have that original copy. I need that Amy Winehouse album. Zeppelin 2 is an absolute classic. As you said “They’re all good to me”…Moon River…The first time I heard it was when I saw Born On the Fourth of July way back. Great movie. ✌️

I might pass on the Pina colada but some of those beers you’ve shown look pretty good. Yes you do need the Winehouse album!

Hey Doug. Great video! Love the Dave Clark Five! I just played Yellow Brick Road a few days, such a great album, as is the Saturday Night Fever album! AC/DC! Led Zep... such an amazing album that I never tire of listening to. Happy New Year to you! Cheers

Wow, 8 weeks at #1 for Elton! I had that album when it came out - don't have it any more. That's a wonderful version of A Summer Place. Seems like Christmas Day is a popular day for celebrities to die. Weird. Happy holidays Doug!

Chet was a very talented guitarist. Have lots of his albums. Enjoy the New Year!

Sitting here this Sat morning fighting a nasty head cold, tea with honey in hand watching this week's entry, Doug. A perfect remedy! Dave Clark Five, good stuff. That Rupert Holmes cover (and back cover) is terrible! I forgot that those artists died on Xmas Day. Annie Lennox can sing anything. Cool background music, as always.😎🎶

Well I don’t know about a remedy but I do hope you feel better! I hadn’t looked at that Rupert Holmes album forever and I thought the same thing horrible cover both front and back! Thanks!

Hi Doug. I was spinning some Chet Atkins the other day!
I remember listening to the chipmunk record at home on the console. My brother was close in age and Christmas was always a blast and Rudolf Alvin and Bing was constantly spinning. I still have the rudolf one I think. Where’s that cute puggle. I miss mine

I think growing up the only Christmas album we had was Elvis. Sally was laying at my feet! Thanks for stopping by!

All of our rockstars are getting old. I used to hate Saturday Night Fever, but I can deal with it now. I love that Amy Winehouse record. Cool video.

The problem with rockstars getting old is we’re right there with them! Thanks!

I have so many albums that I never play. Just part of the collection I guess.

I had that Poison tongue album with the original artwork on cassette. I thought it was a little ridiculous but the album was okay. I can't remember any songs now except for the one about thorny roses.
For Those About to Rock was my first rock band album ever. I got it for my birthday in February of 1983. I still love some of the songs!

When I was in high school 82-85. My group of friends didn’t like hair metal or as we called it bubble gum rock. We were pretty narrow minded when it came to music. Sabbath zeppelin and Floyd etc. was about it for us. But as with most of us we learned to appreciate more music I really like most of the hair metal stuff now. Thanks!

@ My best friend got way more into hair metal than me. But other friends of mine preferred 80s Genesis and Chicago, Falco, Taco, Dire Straits, Sting, and so on. Not my scene!

During the Christmas break, I generally have no idea what day it is.
