I'm freaking dying for this kind of sound to make a comeback... You know, that 70's-80's Classic Metal/Dad Rock sound of New Wave and Speed Metal and early Thrash... Nowadays everything's either a whole long project of experimentation or too brutal and lo-fi as fuck... I know that people give Glam a bad rep and I can see why (even if I love it a whole lot), thankfully I can't stay mad since the underground did a fantasic job at preserving the genre... But man, where's this sound gone? Closest thing we got is Power Metal and even Thrash sounds more like a mix of early Death Metal or Crossover Thrash... I also love those but Classic Metal sounds should make a comeback imo
I don't understand why some singers still want to sing even if it's clear they can't anymore like dan and mustain etc. If i were them i just play the instrument and hire a singer. Maybe they don't wanna pay any additional member.
you dont seem to understand heavy metal, it is not the fact that they can sign or not, it´s the fact that ther were original singers, as always the body decays, but the spirit goes on bruh.
@@aaronhernandezcastro6145 i do understand heavy metal. Metal is not punk, it has that emphasis on the musicianship. Heavy metal had always those high octave vocals, it's what is known for and dan beehler was good at it. If you can't sing anymore, gtfo, it's annoying. Same as a guitar player if he loses his hand ability to play, would you keep him in your band? No.
@@khalez1471 You have no clue. Authenticity is huge with most music fans. They would prefer to see and hear the people who played on their favorite records as opposed to some new hired gun. Do the people in this sold out building look unhappy and not into the show??? Regardless of the singer's voice the crowd is LOVING it. And your assertion that metal requires a soprano voice is ridiculous. There are NO RULES in rock and roll metal or otherwise. Myself and most of my friends refuse to pay to see bands with replacement singers and musicians. Tickets are too expensive in this day and age to waste money on a band full of hired guns who didn't even play on the records. YOU have ZERO integrity as a rock and roll fan if you'd prefer to see original members replaced by hired guns. That's so lame.
@@misterslats calm down dude. Dan beehler is a huge influence on me and i played exciter tunes live, did you? So don't talk to me about about the metal attitude and shit. Maybe i am more metalhead than you'll ever be. Many bands replaced their musicians cause they can't play their instrument anymore and it's not betrayin' them, the music needs to be played in a right way and metal ain't punk, it needs to be played with a good musicianship. Please tell me why glenn tipton does not play live anymore and is replaced? Cause he can't f**king play anymore, same as a singer. Exciter is also known for the high vocals, if he can't do it, he sticks with drums and hires a vocalist. It's just maybe he does not want to pay an additional musician, not any fairytale rock and roll attitude shit. Even exciter themselves replaced john ricci the guitar player cause he has health problems, why do u wanna see them without the original guitar player? You make no sens. And of you're a musician, usually most people like you play like shit.

I remember seeing Exciter open for Mercyful Fate and Motörhead way back in 1984... They're still awesome! 🤘

Ого, даже среди русскоязычныного населения есть любители Exciter
Grande assolo 🎸🥁🎸🎸💪👌☀️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯
At times it reminds me of Motorhead,s Ace of Spades! Drummer and vocals not usual on metal bands.⭐⭐⭐⭐

The band that influented sepultura😊
Sou fã do vocal, caramba, canta e ainda faz bateria rápida!
Screaming is away, listen to Evil Invaders (band)
grimace on guitar
Dan beehler is still a badass!!!!
O som tá ótimo! Já os vocais, o tempo, infelizmente, prejudicou! Vi ao vivo em São Paulo em 1986. Long live the loud!
A gravação não ajuda mas achei o solo totalmente desconectado da música
That's so weird the drummer singing.
Estranho não, difícil e muito, sim
Not weird! But badassss
Have u heard Autopsy ?
Ugh
I implore you to check out Phil Collins era Genesis, Jellyfish, Sir Lord Baltimore and Autopsy
Wow. Most of that solo was not even in the right key. Sorry folks, this is not good.
John Ricci is missed ...
