Thank you! I appreciate your work here so much. I’ve recently went from about a 4X to a L/XL. I’ve been plus sized for decades and the straight sized landscape was overwhelming. Your insights have really helped me navigate my way through it with direction. I’ve bought a lot a thrift stores since I still seem to be changing but I’m able to do it with a framework of criteria you’ve helped me develop.
Well done on the weight loss. All the best on maintenance. I went through a similar change after having a neck-and-back-breaking accident, gaining a lot of weight while recovering and then, during the Covid lockdown, started getting back into shape. I learned how to use eBay and Poshmark to get me through the transition phases. BUT I made a lot of mistakes, both used and new, some of them very expensive. For example, I bought a gorgeous two-piece tunic and pants cashmere set which I gave away just yesterday to a friend. The neckline was all wrong, the colour drained me etc. So it just sat in my closet because it did not do a thing for my hourglass petite frame. So, my advice is, while I have followed Anna since her subs were in the lower four digit range, I have also learned a lot from other influencers. Thinks like determining your best colours, what sort of frame you have (e.g. like the Kibbe types), playing with necklines and shoulders, pant lengths etc. For example, I learned that I do not do well in plaid blazers, even the most subtle pastel ones. Those lines are too hard for my romantic/feminine vibe -- and they make me look even bigger across the chest. Two bad investments. I need fitted clothes and not oversize shapes. I need shoulder details because, despite my heavy weight training, mine remain sloped. I can never wear turtlenecks because, after my accident, I look like I have no neck. V-necklines, square necklines, sweethearts, they flatter my face, my body and work with my vibe.As for colours, I'm a "spring" like Anna but cheat with "autumn" colours because I like them too. Brown and olive green for the win!! And so on. I literally gave away tens of thousands of dollars worth of designer clothes because, after wearing them once or twice, they did not give me joy when i saw myself in photos or the mirror. Good luck and happy shopping!
Wonderful, congratulations on your weight loss! I’ve lost weight gradually over the last five years or more, and also had a tough time with finding the right sizes for my formerly size 16, now size 6 or 8 figure. Knits help a lot when changing sizes, they can fit over two or three sizes. But, never put them in the dryer! The Spandex breaks down fast and the item won’t recover it’s size, shape or stress. Keep on going until you reach your ideal BMI, walking daily helps a lot, then treat yourself to a beautiful new wardrobe, you deserve it, friend. Not only will you have a great new figure, you will feel much better and live longer🙂
Thank you all! Some people seem interested in how I lost weight: intermittent and prolonged fasting with mostly low carb paleo. I’m doing it to address my autoimmunes and metabolic syndrome and thankfully it’s been wildly effective. Weight loss wasn’t the goal, I’m a very body positive person, I have no investment in any numbers so I’ll just see where it goes 😊
A note on the red lip: Sometimes you just might have to go with a wine. I've gone on a serious journey trying to find the right red for me, but those bright ones, even the blue based ones, are just too much for my face. But I finally found a combo that works - Kat Von D lip liner in Vampira paired with Lise Water Matte Velour in Cabernet. To the ladies who can't do a true red, try this out!
I’m in Texas and appreciate your tips for hot winters. I wore blazers and suits to work in the 90’s. Too hot! I never see blazers in Houston. I’m sure people wear them, but it’s not a thing. I can’t do it, just like I can’t wear gray. I had that first blouse in the 90’s too. Guess I’m old enough I’ve seen it all. On a positive note, I am all over the cargo pants trend.
I 100% agree with the ponytails. Many of my white friends seemed to be afraid to pop on a wig, ponytail, added extensions and for the life of me I cant figure out why. So last Easter, I brought 5 ponytails and 2 decent wigs and we had a dress-up tea party. Be end of the day, my friends were so happy with their different hair styles rather thickening it up, adding length or change the color. Now they have no fear or let socity guide their looks when they really sometime want a change. Buy your ponytail if you want too.
Wow! I am impressed, that was such a cool thing to do. A fun introduction to hairpieces. I’m white and LOVE using alternative hair pieces, wore sewn in extensions before most woman even knew they existed. I always felt white woman should get on board with this but also kept it as a beauty secret 🤫 haha
I love the 3rd(?) piece of advice to match or coordinate your top with your outerwear. I also like the reverse! Matching or coordinating the outerwear and bottoms gives a classy “suiting” effect with a nice long line, and then you can use the top as an accent color.
I have the thin fine hair dilemma as well. I find a carefully matched, not unbelievable, faux ponytail works really well. An easy connection is helpful.
Looooove grey n red!!!! Iv searched for 30 yrs for the correct red lipstick to suit me.... So i mix 2 colors together... I do this w/most of my lipsticks!!!
Love the zoom idea and all of your videos. Your content is so relatable and great tips for elevating basics. I am a spring in the color analysis world and it took me until my fifties to understand why black does not look great on me. This may be why you are drawn to only using it as an accent color. I was also advised to stay away from light and dark gray. Regardless of the fact that it’s trending now. I’m so glad I’m learning about my neutrals and gravitating toward taupe, ivory, camel, pecan. At first it was sad to wean black out of my closet, but It’s been a game changer to skip black and gray around my face. I’m a huge fan of getting your colors done. ❤
Love this!! I’m glad you said that about neutrals. Greys are not my best color but I’ve been loving them! Nevertheless, I think it’s eye opening to go through the process of discovering what looks better and what doesn’t with color. Makes shopping easier too! ❤️
Anna I love your channel! Im in north central Florida and you have been helping me elevate my style particularly considering our intense heat! Most style channels live in colder climates and tons of layering tips just don't work for us. Thank you for your amazing Florida heat- friendly tips! ❤
You are so welcome! 😍 I went to a Christmas party last night and people were wearing sandals with sweaters… because this is Florida and it was 65 degrees! 🤣 We do what we have to! ❤️
I’m in the same situation living in a warm, humid climate. I appreciate style videos that allow you to wear things where you look good, but aren’t sweating to death! Keep those coming!
Hi, Anna, my job is remote zoom all day. My makeup and hair are done; I have on nice earrings and necklace or brooch from my Mom and grand mom’s collection. The lower half is yoga pants and Ugg house shoes. When neighbors ring my doorbell their expression Is pricele$$
Your videos are fun, interesting, and informative. I really enjoy your casual, humorous delivery. You always sound like you are talking to a close friend. Thank you.
2 x 2 I like!! Also, this morning the old Norwegian jumper came out. It is mostly navy blue. Decided to wear grey skinny (practical on a push bike) jeans with it. Pleased with the look - and my boyfriend scored me 13 out of 10 😅
Love the pony! Have u ever seen those”halos” I think ? It’s a hair piece sewn into this stretchy? Band u position on ur head😂sounds crazy? But would love to see reviewed !
Thank you Anna for your videos! I love your personality and direct and simple tips. I look forward to your content 😊 I always love a monochromatic look, especially for neutrals, cornflower, and jewel tones 🙌🏽 I also love the 2x2 method. My style is very much a mix of new and thrifted/vintage pieces, so having a dress formula is key. I actually use an evolution of this formula; I do 2x2 + 3 (makeup, hair, jewelry) because I agree hair and beauty are important when thinking of style (love the pony and a red lip). I also can’t forget about a great pair of stylish eyewear 😎
Just found "my red lip" and now I feel like my natural lip has become so dull, lol. But definitely at least a touch of gloss or even a tinted balm can bring life to both your face and to your outfit! It also says I made an effort to look nice even tho I am at the grocery store/school pickup/etc 😂.
Love the color combo tips. And the 2 plus 2 idea. Will have to rewatch to focus on these. Red lip? I've wasted so much money on this. Never found a good one for me. Even with help.
Amazing Video! Thank you. I agree with all your suggestions. Black is very harsh on most people. I prefer navy and brown. Question???? What product did you use to slick back your hair for the pony clip??????
Years ago I purchased a clip-in pony tail for a Greek Goddess Halloween costume (gosh, I sure loved it!). Now I'm considering getting one of those 'halo' hair pieces :-) I mean, why not?
This was a great video for me. I just ordered a black suit and don’t really have a blouse to wear with it. And I can’t believe how inexpensive the blouse you shared was. I’m going to order one. And I’m growing my hair out. So when it gets a little longer and I can pull it back, I can buy a ponytail to wear. I know brown is in. But with my coloring I don’t look good in brown. I can wear tan and beige. Just not dark brown. Thanks for another great video.
Hi Anna I love that blouse you are wearing. You have so many great clothes. I am loving you brown and black. For years I could not even find a brown sweater. Anna, all my life my sister got compliments in her thick beautiful hair. I never got a compliment in my fine thin hair. I have used collagen in my coffee since 2019. I suddenly have been getting compliments. My hair I’d more manageable and thicker. It’s funny playing with hair pieces. I use to have these fun clip in..two that I have never seem again. No one ever knew they were not my hair. Another great video. Now, I just need to get a more exciting life..😮😂❤❤❤
Great tips for the ponytail I invested in a custom made wig in my natural texture they last 5 years or more verses the ponytail tail that doesn't last long specially if it's synthetic fiber. Great tips that are very useful 👍 My color combo is navy, gray and white, or plum, pink ,olive and brown or camel. A red lip is a must and don't forget to add the right fragrance. My shoes and handbags are a must. I want some denim shoes 😊 Blazers are cool but loneline jackets cover me more when it's colder in l.a I found a long shacket yesterday 😊
I love the jeans you style with! Is there a video that touches on that? I'm a new subscriber, so not sure if you've already covered that topic. Appreciate you!
Love your channel and thank you for all your great ideas. One detail I must add to your video: please do not use an ordinary rubber band for your hair. I t brings down the whole outfit!
Hi Anna, I found a sweater I think you'll flip over, it's a heavey weight, slightly OS turtleneck sweater with thick rib-detail on the collar, sleeves and bottom and it's 100% cashmere for $111! Easily a $300 sweater. It's stunning. It's called 100% Pure Cashmere Essence Sweater on the Nicole Collection in three colors. :)
I remember that so well!!! It was such a drab, boring, icky color when I was growing up! Now it’s so chic and interesting lol someone gave it a makeover! ❤️
It's funny that you mentioned the red lipstick. I've been thinking lately that I'm not sure the bright red that you're wearing is exactly the right one for you as it kind of takes over. Maybe a cooler tone, or a more muted red? I'm no expert, so ignore at will!
Hey you're a beautiful Woman. God has given you that Kind of Hair that duit to you. To Tell you the truth I Love your Hair Dress in this Video. The Pony tail IS fun but the way you usually Dress your Hair IS also lovely. Don't be too hard in you. 😊🌸💝 Have a wonderful day🎉
The only red lip color that I can wear is a lighter, more coral-red or pink-red with a bit of shimmer. Plain red lip color makes me look old, like that old movie star who won't go away.

Honey your hair is not flat. It's normal. It's just in this day of artificial beauty it seems that way. Your hair looks good. 😊
Agreed
I 100% agree with the ponytails. Many of my white friends seemed to be afraid to pop on a wig, ponytail, added extensions and for the life of me I cant figure out why. You’re Awesome and I just know you’re fun at parties 😃
That shirt with the red lips is super pretty 😍
Thank you! ❤️
I so agree with the high neck tops for video calls. Recently added a few nice high collared blouses to my work from home wardrobe.
It’s so funny how we have to think of how we look at only the top 1/3 for zoom calls isn’t it! 😄
I love the 3rd(?) piece of advice to match or coordinate your top with your outerwear. I also like the reverse! Matching or coordinating the outerwear and bottoms gives a classy “suiting” effect with a nice long line, and then you can use the top as an accent color.
Yes love that look too! It’s also super slimming! ❤️
I have the thin fine hair dilemma as well. I find a carefully matched, not unbelievable, faux ponytail works really well. An easy connection is helpful.
Great tips...really liked the 2 + 2 and wearing matching colors. The fashion examples are perfect. Thank you!
Glad you liked this one, Patricia! ❤️
Very helpful. Nice to have your advice on how to stylishly reenergize existing clothes versus always buying something new. Thank you.
You are so welcome! ❤️❤️❤️
Your suggestions are appreciated. Sometimes we just need to look at our closet with new eyes!
Agreed! And take pics of yourself when you discover a great new outfit in your closet! ❤️
Looooove grey n red!!!! Iv searched for 30 yrs for the correct red lipstick to suit me.... So i mix 2 colors together... I do this w/most of my lipsticks!!!
Such a great idea!! I’m with you, a lot of reds are too cool toned for me! I have to find one that has some orange in it which is tough! ❤️😄

Your Top-Tip😊 is spot on. A blouse looks so much more classy. I have fine, thin hair too, but the fake ponytail is probably a step too far 😂
I agree about the top. I immediately thought it looked upscale when I saw you.
Great presentation and inspirational--sometimes adding a statement brooch or silk flower to the lapel of a blazer or jacket is fun, too.
Anna I love your channel! Im in north central Florida and you have been helping me elevate my style particularly considering our intense heat! Most style channels live in colder climates and tons of layering tips just don't work for us. Thank you for your amazing Florida heat- friendly tips! ❤

Hey Anna! Happy Sunday! I love the style of the animal print top and the 2by2 is something I do quite often ( and I’m the first one here) lol ❤🎄⭐️
🙌🙌🙌 Love that one! Thinking of it 2 by 2 takes the guess work out of it doesn’t it?? Happy Sunday! ❤️❤️❤️
I also like to add a good leather belt and/or a silk scarf to simple outfits.
Yes love this! ❤️
Thank you ❤ always look forward to watching your videos🙏
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your ideas about using two color that you wouldn’t normally use ❤❤❤❤
Thanks Anna for the awesome tips 😊❤
Glad you liked them! ❤️❤️❤️
This H&M blouse suits you soooo well😍Wow!
Love detailed tops, especially the one your wearing Ann!
Love your new ponytail, you look 10 years younger without looking silly 😍

I’ve been wearing phony pony’s for years ! ❤
The pony tail clip literally made me laugh out loud. Merry Christmas, Anna!
Love to watch all of your videos. I look forward to everyone. I have them on alert so I can see them as soon as they come out 😁😉
You’re so darling!
Love your classic. Yet very trending look. So inspiring
Great tips, thank you!!! I also have fine hair, I kinda like the idea of an add on ponytail 🌟
I bought those clip on ponytails years ago from HSN Tonyponys. I've forgotten all about them!! I luvd them 😊
I’m here for the ponytail clip! Yes!
Lovely looks Anna ❤😊🎄
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

lol I love that!!! You’re already a 13 out of 10 to start with, Marie! 😉❤️
You look stunning, Anna; that blouse paired with your red lip is perfect! Thank you for the easy to implement tips!
Love a red lip!

Your natural hair suits you best ❤
You have no reason to fear the red lip! It looks FABULOUS on you! 💋
A turtleneck or some kind of high collar always makes an elegant statement, even on a man.
This is true! ❤️❤️
Love your hard work, So uplifting when there is nothing new and there is Anna agin with some ideas.
These tips are so simple but so helpful in really pulling a look together
Thank you beautiful Annareid for your
Thoughtful videos! Love and blessings to you and yours. 👍💖🙏🏼🥰🌹🎄🎄🎄
The hair clips are really great!
Yes! 🙌

I’ve always had thin hair and after menopause it’s even thinner. I wear wigs when I go out. I absolutely love them.
I've seen you wear a brown and black striped top in this video and other. Can you tell me where you purchased it? I just love it!
I always forget the red lips trick. Thanks for reminding me! 💋
Oh my don’t you look snatched! Love it!
Amazing Video! Thank you. I agree with all your suggestions. Black is very harsh on most people. I prefer navy and brown. Question???? What product did you use to slick back your hair for the pony clip??????
Brown dress details please ❤
Have silver sling backs and they are so great for myriad of outfits. PS mine were $59 at Nordstrom open edit for anyone looking! So cute
Years ago I purchased a clip-in pony tail for a Greek Goddess Halloween costume (gosh, I sure loved it!). Now I'm considering getting one of those 'halo' hair pieces :-) I mean, why not?
Exactly, why not?! Keeps things interesting 😄❤️
Your hair is great!
This was a great video for me. I just ordered a black suit and don’t really have a blouse to wear with it. And I can’t believe how inexpensive the blouse you shared was. I’m going to order one. Great tips for the ponytail I invested in a custom made wig in my natural texture they last 5 years or more verses the ponytail tail that doesn't last long specially if it's synthetic fiber. Great tips that are very useful 👍
My color combo is navy, gray and white, or plum, pink ,olive and brown or camel. A red lip is a must and don't forget to add the right fragrance.
My shoes and handbags are a must. I want some denim shoes 😊
Blazers are cool but loneline jackets cover me more when it's colder in l.a I found a long shacket yesterday 😊
Love this! Custom made wig sounds fab 😍😍😍
@ANNAREID29 is very convenient just hang it up when you are home. Lol, like a bra on the doorknob
Thank you ❤❤❤Anna
I love the jeans you style with! Is there a video that touches on that? I'm a new subscriber, so not sure if you've already covered that topic.
Appreciate you!
Love your videos Anna❤
Thank you! ❤❤❤
Best red of all time is from Lisa Eldridge!
Good video
Very well minded put together
Thank you
Sam😊😊😊😊
😍Love the boots 6:00 😍
Love your channel and thank you for all your great ideas. One detail I must add to your video: please do not use an ordinary rubber band for your hair. I t brings down the whole outfit!
Hi Anna, I found a sweater I think you'll flip over, it's a heavey weight, slightly OS turtleneck sweater with thick rib-detail on the collar, sleeves and bottom and it's 100% cashmere for $111! Easily a $300 sweater. It's stunning. It's called 100% Pure Cashmere Essence Sweater on the Nicole Collection in three colors. :)
Loved this video, some great ideas. Thankyou from Wirral Uk
Great Inspiration. Thanks!
I play with wigs. So fun!
I like the real pony better! Maybe its the color of the other one against the darker base of your hair?
Such great info!!
What shoes were you wearing (brown closed toe) with the white tee and jeans?
Anna , can you talk about bell bottom Jeans , I thought they were in style now?
Hello, I really love this video! What is the top you are wearing at 1:11 minutes?
Here you go! slooks.top/6Vsu/64
Love the red lipstick but can't get myself to wear it ;)
Would love to know the brand of lipstick since yours seems to stay put!
where can i find the cropped leather pants you had on with the hoddie and long coat? also.. the addidas sneakers...ty Heather
I got those pants in Argentina recently! I can’t find any similar online 😩 but here are the sambas! bit.ly/47FbfV9
Anna what brand are those gorgeous cap toe shoes?!
Yes,thank you learned more❤l
Strange how brown seems to look good on everyone and makes them look elevated.
10 or 20 years ago nobody liked that colour at all. 🙂
I remember that so well!!! It was such a drab, boring, icky color when I was growing up! Now it’s so chic and interesting lol someone gave it a makeover! ❤️
Good job😊
The red lip today looks amazing! ❤
Hello hello 🤗 love from Cyprus 🇨🇾
❤❤❤
You have very good taste, Anna.
It's funny that you mentioned the red lipstick. I've been thinking lately that I'm not sure the bright red that you're wearing is exactly the right one for you as it kind of takes over. Maybe a cooler tone, or a more muted red? I'm no expert, so ignore at will!
I’m of the opposite opinion. I actually think it is a very flattering shade of red. 😅
Hey you're a beautiful Woman. God has given you that Kind of Hair that duit to you. To Tell you the truth I Love your Hair Dress in this Video. The Pony tail IS fun but the way you usually Dress your Hair IS also lovely. Don't be too hard in you. 😊🌸💝 Have a wonderful day🎉
How tall are u Anna?
The only red lip color that I can wear is a lighter, more coral-red or pink-red with a bit of shimmer. Plain red lip color makes me look old, like that old movie star who won't go away.
Norma Desmond! Played by Gloria Swanson.
Oh, no! I never wear high necks because my stubby little neck disappears. But too deep cleavage is a bad look as well in this instance.
lol I highly doubt there is anything stubby about your neck 🤣🤣 crew necks look great too! ❤️
High neck tops, monochromatic outfits and ceiling to floor curtains have been my hacks for years...I hate ur spreading the word😢😊
I don’t find blazers feminine
Are growing your blond out?
That red lip is a little bright on you. Try something a little more muted for your softer coloring.
I love that lip color on her.
@@AnaFarrishIt makes her look old. I never noticed that the corners of her mouth are starting to droop until now.
I love these videos, but the selfish part of me don't want EVERYONE to know. Lol.
