To be honest, I’m actually so annoyed at the lack of CD players/dvd drives these days. Definitely grateful that streaming services exists, but like. Sometimes I just want to pop in a dvd, you know? Plus there’s still a decent amount of movies & shows that aren’t available anywhere to stream, but are on dvd 🤷🏻♀️
Not to mention commentaries, more special features, and streaming doesn’t keep everything

My dad got this bose brand dvd player in 2012-2013.He loves pure rock and heavy metal.Me and Dad jam to Pink Floyd,AC/DC,Guns n Roses every weekend.No online streaming can beat the good old dvd player.

I mean sure,they're selling it,but there's no guarantee it's good,until it delivers to you. It may not be as good as the description states. We still have a DVD player and I'm glad we do because streaming has one huge disadvantage. Sometimes they delete stuff and I need my comfort shows that I know by heart and can watch when the world just sucks.

My cousin is 14 and just getting into photography. She was taking pictures while on vacation (sunsets and bridges that kind of thing) and someone rudely came up to us and was asking her why she was taking photos. She was like...it's a hobby. And the woman asked "but what are you going to do with them?" and my cousin said keep them? maybe post them on Instagram? And the woman was SO confused. We walked away and I told her the woman was clearly a time traveler.

I actually happen to still have a DVD player, and here in Spain we still have some areas where DVD films are rented and I do rent one from time to time. I did not think people considered it to be something outdated by now. I love it personally, sometimes my cable TV doesn't have a fiml I feel like watching so the DVD renting shop comes handy.

I have players for both DVD and Blu-Ray respectively, one under my TV (Blu-Ray) and a portable one connected to my computer via USB (DVD). Although I am using streaming services mostly these days, there are times I pop on a DVD from my collection every now and then.
Same, I’ve got a full dvd collection. You can’t always find the films you want on streaming services, nor are you guaranteed that they will keep your favourites on their catalog. I much rather own them on dvd, specially since they’re so cheap to get second hand!
We have a dvd player, stereo, cassette player and a record player, one of us likes to keep things.
We just found 3 record players at my late grandparents house. Even an 8 track. (Idk if that's even how to spell 8track) lol. My aunt moved in n kept everything! We have hundreds of records.

My brother has a growing collection of "obsolete" tech. Old game systems, tube tvs, a record player he found in the trash at his school...I think he and your hoarder would get along lol.
Photographing and filming trains is my dad's hobby too. They aren't bothering anyone, they just want to see the big choo choo go by. That person is just complaining to complain.

I definitely still have a DVD player (well, Blu Ray but same deal). With big film companies buying up smaller companies for their backfiles and then locking them away, there are some favorite films that just aren't available any other way. I don't have a huge collection but I'm not willing to give up on being able to watch some of these whenever I want. Also I'm old.
Yep, for me it's about having my absolute favourites and comfort movies and shows on hand whenever.
When shows or movies are pay-walled I go on ebay and buy them as dvds for cheaper plus I get to keep them and rewatch them. I do think DVDs will eventually faze out sadly (happened when I was younger with VHS) but hopefully not for a while. I'm in my early 20s for context

Yes Charlotte I do still have a DVD player and so does anyone that has a PS4, PS5 or Xbox system. It's not like these systems only play Blu-ray discs. We just watched several movies on DVD for Halloween because it's not like everything is available on streaming services.

What are cheese curds? Heard of milk, but not cheese? Asking for a friend….
@@solovjud Cheese made from milk but cut into piece during the process. The texture is heavy/really squishy/ milky. Delicious. So basically when you do a poutine you have the fries, then the sauce and cheese on top so it won’t melt. Easy to make at home. Here in Quebec, we “invented” this meal. You have it in every restaurant with their own recopie of sauce and such. You can even make some with spaghetti sauce, chicken and pees, or ground beef/ sausage.
As a Texan, I have to say that is a lot. Minimum wage is $7.25

Really telling my age here, but the Jenner necklace reminds me of 5th and 6th grade when the teachers started a "trend" of paperclip bracelets and necklaces to keep talking/hyperactive kids (like me) busy during class. The other day I watched a dvd and my cat flipped out. I got him in March, he had been a stray his whole life prior to that, and apparently it was the first time I had watched something on the tv instead of my phone or laptop since before March. He had never seen a tv before 😂
When I was fresh out of high school for the summer, I got a job babysitting a 4 year old. It was super easy, no cleaning or cooking required, no transportation since I didn’t drive yet. I pretty much would just get the little boy dressed in the mornings, give him breakfast and lunch, hang out watching tv, playing games & toys, a little bit of educational flash cards, play outside, etc. until 5pm. I got $10 per hour for that. And it was 7-5. So $100 cash per day. People are insane to think they can hire someone as an assistant for the same wage.

Having lived in Germany for a few years I was introduced to the wonder of döner kebabs. No joke, probably the best one I had was from a cart outside of a Real. Great, now I want one and I'm broke lol.
My wife and I had friends from church actually prepare and serve the meal as part of their gift. It was nothing fancy. The day before we got a friend to go to flowermart wholesale flowers and we made table decorations, alter flowers and flowers for the cake table. It actually was fun I got to know my new brother in laws better and they met my friends etc. We paid for the photographer and the cake. We also had talented friends so instead of wedding band or DJ . We had a talent show. Everyone participated at some point and we hand an excellent piano player and singers so we did some dancing. Had good champagne for everyone to drink. Then went on the only 2 week Vacation of our Lives, Honeymoon to the Pacific Northwest. We have fond memories of everyone working and helping out and singing, playing songs, dancing and laughing!
So happy I found Charlotte this year...definitely makes my days so much better🥰🥔

A Wendy's is across the street from a local insurance agent & one week they got into a "sign war". Each week they traded shade back & forth. Mostly about local sports games, peeps birthdays, & just general town business. It was quite entertaining. Not been that way in awhile so not sure how the "war" is going but I'm here for it all day!!

In western Pennsylvania the minimum wage is like 10 or 12$ an hour. I worked at a hydraulic manufacturing company and only got 12 an hour. I started at 10. Ur lucky to get 14 an hour where I live. 20$ an hour would make me feel rich! Lol
Also, I'm aware this isn't celebrated in Canada, but I am still thankful for Charlotte and the crew all year round!!

9:38 whats funnier is that this is pretty much 2 or 3 ppl talking to each other in the replies because most of those drink companies are under the same parent company so more than likely, the same social media pr person or maybe a second or third are running a handful of the individual drink accounts. When you post on twt, you can be logged into numerous accounts under one broswer or all on one app and you just gotta press the picture icon when you're posting or replying to switch accounts so I could totally see a 2 or 3 pr ppl under the parent company do all of this like a fun awesome game

That's what I get payed as a substitute preschool teacher and that would easily be a chunk of money for the month here in Sweden.

I just make mine at home. So easy and you can switch it up however you want. My favorite is fries, chicken or beef, gravey and shredded cheese. Gain about 10 pounds each time but worth it.

One of my favorite clap back moments was responding to someone that clearly doesn't understand how healthcare works
He was trying to claim that Free Public Health Care was terrible based on him needing to see a doctor while on vacation in Canada, then went on about how it's terrible because unless you are seriously hurt and go to the ER for care you will keep getting pushed to the back of the line if people with more serious injuries and conditions come in, how you'll most likely only be treated by a nurse and only seen by the doctor so they can okay you for release at the end of trip, or they might just set you up with and appointment for the following day to see a doctor, etc, etc...
My reply was: Dude that is called triage... that's what ERs everywhere...
This dude was literally complaining about his ER visit on vacation for a non-serious issue, and why did he go to the ER instead of the clinic you might be asking? Cause ER visits are covered by travel insurance and are almost always free where clinic trips you have to pay out of pocket and you might get reimbursed by insurance later on. So not only was he complaining about standard practice that happens everywhere, but was complaining about free health care even though he was only there because he didn't want to pay out of pocket....
