Water in passenger footwell on a D3 check drains from sunroof are running clear first as the ends perish and water drains to front foot wells. Not an easy job re access but ends can be replaced on drains. Will take a long time to dry out due to thickness of sound deadening. Look forward to seeing outcome.
Yes I agree, I had to do this on my D3. You have to remove the main fuse box and there are 2 connectors behind it which take ages to put back in. I took the seats out which helped with lifting the carpet so it would dry out. Looking forward to the D3 😀👍
Check oil pump, however the oil pump on the 2004/2005 were stronger than the 2006 onwards. There are now 7 versions of the pump. But they changed manufacture in 2006 when they added DPF’s and they were the problem units. Also start using 5w/40 oil as its slightly thinker thus increasing oil pressure. It need to need MB 226.5 A3/B3/4
Since they make great tow cars and you have the elusive key and with the idea of raffling off the winner might want to tow with it so maybe don’t try and sell the tow bar
when you get it there , even should it be on the back of a recovery truck , the best thing to do would be get out , and throw the keys away and fly home.

Looking forward to this series. Both what needs doing and it will actually get there and back without much hassle and expenditure 😝 👌
I hope so!
i am happy to see you have a Disco 3 again. i will enjoy this.
Remember to check the oil pump, and swop out if it’s the one without the strengthening on the web.
Good advise, be amazed it’s not been swapped at that mileage. Bit of a “survivor” if it hasn’t been.

Thanks for the advice
Welcome, 5/40 is used in Australia as standard but it also protects down to -35c so more than adequate for the UK.
Can’t believe you are putting springs on this car. It’s most likely something very simple like a valve and tank.
Wow! So much vehicle for so little money!

What diagnosistic tool are you using?
Icarsoft for some and ottofix D1 lite for more technical stuff
What auction are you using. Is it a local or online?
It’ll be online - probably through eBay
Total madness to buy a heap of scrap that will probably have knackered engine transmission trans box knackered AC as I say Total Madness!
@@Dee-u4r I think your following the wrong channel then mate 😂😂
Such a shame you decided to do away with the air 😢
You lost me at coil springs. The air system isn't that difficult to fix. You should look-up LRTIME and try to diagnose it, but I am out.
@@louiswilliamhicks you lost me at ‘you lost me at coil springs’ lol but seriously I’m sure there’s plenty other stuff in there you’ll like.
