Ya Um just watching cuz about that Deerfoot exit… was late for work cuz of that. Had to take Deerfoot to dumbow rd in heratige pointe dewinton and went back up on McLeod and there was a crash. That Deerfoot and Stoney exit nearly lost me a job :(

    Nice video.
That left exit for Deerfoot southbound can catch you out if you aren't ready for it. Similar to the QEII northbound into Edmonton. The left lanes are for the exits onto the Henday, while the right lanes go on through to Gateway Boulevard and into the city.

Thanks! Yeah one would think to continue straight if they didn't look at the signs. Silly me

you almost made exactly the same driving mistake I did on my Stoney Trail video at the exact same spot. That 2 lane left side exit seems to come out of nowhere and surprises. I'm looking forward to when Stoney Trail is a full loop.

You think to keep going straight unless you look up at the sign. I was taking a peek at the route that will go from Glenmore to 16 Ave that will be the last section to open and there is a LOT of residences in the way.

Trans Canada Phil A full loop around the city by 2022. Starting construction on the last segment in spring of 2019. as per the Alberta government press release on July 5,2018.

@@westerncanadaroads9795 No residences in the way at all. There's a huge TUC (Transportation Utility Corridor) in place where the road, power lines, high pressure pipelines, etc. will go. The government just issued some contracts to start work on the final leg so everything is in place--hopefully. The S.W. section of 201 that's being built right now is going to have some very impressive interchanges. The area where Glenmore, Highway 8 and 201 meet is going to be massive.
