Before coming to China, the media coverage on China l had come across was usually negative. Many people in my country including me mistakenly believed that China was a poor country, where there was only oppression without freedom. But when l came to China, l found China is AMAZING! l dare say China is better than the West in many ways.Modernization, convenience, hospitality, safety, all of these has left a positive impression on me. So l told my families and friends that it was only after I came to China l deeply appreciated how excellent China has developed.
I don’t know if they’re still around but there were Americans and other guys who live in china making RUclips videos mostly about the negative sides of China for clicks and views. Basically focusing on the bad side of China and entertaining the anti Chinese audience and giving the impression that the country is a hell scape. You have to be careful of those guys since I feel it’s primarily for self promotion
You've really explored all the nooks and crannies of Yunnan province😂 I want to see how places like Inner Mongolia, Macau, Heilongjiang, Urumqi/Xinjiang looks like
I really fell in love with Yunnan! I've been to Inner Mongolia before but it was before I had a channel so I don't have anything but photos! Heilongjiang is too cold for me! I don't think I'll ever go there lol
i think the tofu pudding rice noodles you eat is actually xiao guo rice noodles小锅米线. because i grow up in Yunnan, the tofu pudding rice noodles i eat is always without soup. Anyway , good to see you enjoy your time in my hometown.❤
I gotta hand it to you Aleese, you are so game to try a lot of different foods. I couldn’t because I’m so picky 😣 gotta love you for letting us know what’s good and not good to eat 🤭 love what you do girl 🫶🏼
Most of the food looked delicious. Might I add that the portions are huge and the prices are insanely cheap for the amount you get. Nice food video, love it.
it's been 2:34 in the morning here in Miaoli City... i need to wake up at 7am. i started watching your video at 1:15 am and with this video i cant help but eat too. thanks for being you and showing the real experiences going on with you in China. i just finished watching this video. just one more and i must....really must sleep. I'm a fan now. i need to watch another one....
love the cheese cakes (yes am a lover of haloumi which I first time tried and fell in love with in Australia). And the fried tofu, yum! Must be panfried crispy on the outside and tender soft inside - with the beautiful sauce, oh Yuuuuuum!!
kinda itchy and uncomfy when I keep thinking about it - I imagine what if all the flaky bits go in underneath my clothes and all over my body touching my skin... haha... I have fear LOL
If you go to NYC, there are some places in Queens that you can get it! I watched a video about where to get authentic Chinese food so I can satisfy my craving when I get back home!
Another great one Aleese. Between watching you and Amy, I keep changing my mind about where I want to go first in China. You must have a lot of leftover food when you eat in restaurants. Do you take it to go or just leave it?
I know Amy dabao (use takeaway boxes) all the food as she said it once in her video. I guess Aleese does it also sometimes? Waitresses in China restaurants usually are happy to dabao the leftover and most of time no fee is charged for dabao.
I suggest you go to big(ish) cities and the ones in the South FIRST - they are probably better in terms of being the trial places for foreigners who are NEW to visiting China. Once you kinda adapt to those cities, then try smaller ones (including the ones in the north). Southern China is more accommodating and more "gentle" - just my impression. I was born and raised in China but now living in Oz by the way. Hope this info helps.
Thank you sooo much!! Yunnan food is my fave type of Chinese Cuisine and Sichuan is maybe second-- definitely had to chose where to go first! With leftover food, it depends. I really try to not over order, but it's quite hard as a solo traveller in china as most restaurants serve family style. But If I am going to order a lot, I will always eat that meal at the end of the day when I know I'm going straight back to my hotel and then I will ask for it to go and eat it for breakfast or midnight snack. If I don't eat the leftovers, I will give it to the hotel staff.
You are making me hungry lol

Lovely. The sesame cake when you chewed off that pieces and in your mouth..reminds me immediate of tendrils in the show 'TLOU'
Really enjoyed this one! Amazing what they do with rose petals!!
Rose EVERYTHING! They even have rose rice wine that is really refreshing!
you are so cute when you laugh madly about the sweet pancake you're trying :) It makes me SMILE :) xx

Wow, so many yummy foods! I'd love that noodle bowl you got with the grandma potatoes. Both, actually.
Those noodles were some of the best I had, really loved them!

@@yyysboy1 Haaaaaa! OMG I was thinking the same thing! Before I left, I took off my coat and scarf and spun around in a circle to get them all off!
@@AleeseLightyear would do the same!!! otherwise I wouldnt concentrate on my to do list for the rest of the day lol
My favorite is the cross bridge rice noodle, i miss it so much, it’s nearly impossible to find it here in the 🇺🇸

Yunan has fantastic views
There are too many types of food in China, I hope you can try various different foods.
TOOOOO MANY! I need to make a video about my favorites that I think other ppl should try!
I agree. In my opinion, the greatest or one of the best in Chinese food is the seafood live from the fish tanks. The freshest fish
awesome video, love the different food you try thank you for being you
awww thank you!
I cry when I saw you eating deliciously
The flaky bakery reminds me of a middle eastern/Turkish dish, and I can't remember it's name.
I don't even know if I got the Chinese name right!
Which hotel did you stay? The food looks delicious.
😋😋😋😋😋😋🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏
Girl you better watch yourself. 😂 😂😂
hahah why?!?
You know you just can’t eat everything. Lol No I’m just playing. You take care cuz. Love you
we need a Tibet vlog video!!!!!!!!!!
Don't think I'd like to go there. I'm pretty sensitive to altitude change and got really sick just in Yunnan province due to altitude.
@@AleeseLightyear what a pity!but it seems that foreigners need special permit to Tibet.
did you eat all these food in one day?
No way! This was an accumulation of what I ate in 4 days!
It would have taken 5 minutes to find the Cross the Bridge rice noodle story-!! its a great story too-!! 👎
But I didn't....oh well!
Yunnan has too many strange food, flower food, toxic mushrooms, and kinds of insects food😢😢😢😢
strange but yummy!
