The living room colors mesh well and the yellow rug and matching spread on couch gives it a nice color pop. The polaroid wall is a work of art and that Moroccan-inspired tea room was a moment ( and I'm stealing :)) . Great stuff!
The polaroid wall was annoying as hell to get up, because the wallpaper is a bit rigid and they were constantly falling down when I used regular tape. Had to find a stick alternative to keep them up.
I bought ikea in the California, the delivery was super slow and they don’t do anything for installation . I am missing the convenience of Beijing , and also very happy for your find your apartment. I am sure will back to Beijing before 2025 .

One staff told us she got a good friend that works at the ports where they collect imported goods and sort them and it's going to be a 2-3 year delay due to nobody working...it's crazy right now!
its important to ensure ur in a cosy comfy space for a living - but it can be challenging if u later need to move elsewhere far away in China? i mean the couch & big items you bought... unless u donate/give away/sell cheaper, etc?
Not so challenging in my eyes. I will just sell them or give them to my neighbors or donate them. There are lots of organizations that will come pick up furniture you want to donate so you don't need to worry about what to do with it.
At the time, my studio apartment was going up to 6K a month. That was the standard for a nice studio near the subway in a popular district. Beijing housing prices are very expensive.

IKEA in China seems to be cheaper than US. We just got a similar couch with chaise for over $1000usd after tax and delivered/assembled ourselves.
I think the delivery and assembly is maybe a lower price. But I compared the cough I got to the US Ikea site and the price was the same
