This is so true , I often have a goal of going heavier but like you said it’s important to go back and focus on form and technique. Thanks Tia

Thanks for the video, it’s extremely helpful to me. I will be 66 years old this August and have been doing CrossFit for 2 years. I can’t lift heavy so focusing on technique is where I am at. Your videos give me a visual to connect to what my coach is telling me. You are an inspiration. I live in Knoxville, Tennessee so I love seeing what’s happening in your part of TN. Thanks again; you and Shane are awesome.

Look how easily and simply she explains everything, the techniques, the whys (why she uses this and why she uses this shoes) . And yes she said even champions feel like to take days off. There it is. We love u Tia. Good luck with the training for the games. Sending you and Shane ❤️ all the way from India.

Tia! Love these videos so much! Your elbow speed under the bar on those power cleans had me 😵😍. Really enjoyed your comments on lifters vs. trainers with certain movements for certain types of workouts. If I see snatch, clean, or jerk on the agenda, my immediate instinct is to throw on lifters. Easy to become dependent on them. Tend to feel this way about my weight belt, too!

Nice to see a good closeup of you just doing cleans :) I just realised you hold your hands far wider and elbows considerably lower than I thought I was supposed to be doing it, or rather not doing it since I found that impossible haha. I actually have a similar body type, well, aside from you having lady bumps and a six pack and I just have a full keg. Other than that, we are clones!

What are your thoughts on completely switching to normal training shoes for all lifting if you are already plenty mobile? I worked with a PT that shared with me that lifters are unnecessary for someone who is hyper mobile like myself because it’s puts unnecessary load on the knee joints. Love your videos, thanks for sharing your training and lifestyle with us!

This is the minimum equipment you need. 1 barbell. Set of olympic plates. Optional: Rack, Bench. I currently have just an olympic barbell and pairs of 1.25 kg, 2.5 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg, 25 kg plates. In addition of got a set of micro plates (USA made) ranging from 0.25 lbs to 1.0 lbs. I have a second hand rack and no bench (its coming next month). Using just that equipment, I am making far better progress than I ever did in the gym because I can go and workout whenever the hell I want with zero travel time. Just like this video said, you can use olympic lifting for conditioning, and in fact, this is exactly what I am doing. I do a simple barbell complex prior to each workout. 4 exercises 5 reps each, 4 rounds with 1 minute rest. Takes only about 10 minutes. Then I take a break and come back later and do my strength work. All with just a barbell! I could easily afford more gear, but you know what, I've just come to realise, I don't actually need it. If you don't have a bench and want to bench press, just do the "floor press" instead. Works great!
