The disposable cameras always remind me of going on school holidays and mum loading my suitcase with like 3 of these bad boys. The first camera was always shitty pictures of my friends and the bus still in England 🤣
I shoot a lot of film and it makes me feel guilty, from an environmental standpoint. I have never shot with a disposable camera. A 50yr-old SLR produces better images and is less bad for the environment. I don't print the pictures, just develop and scan - they can be printed at any time, if required. I feel it's only a matter of time before film is lost, but I'll enjoy it while I can.
This is one of the many projects I’ve got in my book of “ To Do Lists “, seen it done a year or two ago but for the life of me can’t remember who by. I’ve used these many times but not for at least 25-30 years so should be fun, will have to wait though as I’ve got 4 SLRs with films in I’ve not finished off yet and after my first one I tried came back blank due to “User Error” I’ll be happy if I manage a few decent shots per film to start with. You managed to get some nice results there Sam, even if it was a slightly darker day than preferable for that film but if conditions were always perfect it would soon become boring.
Really unique video, you rarely find anyone using an older style of photography, it was really a treat to see that even on a less advanced camera you can still capture great shots, its the photographer that makes the image turn out great
Back in the mid 90’s I used a bunch of disposable camera during stay 5 year stay in Hong Kong. Still love looking at those photos now. Makes me want to try my old 35mm camera again 👍
Topic: NFTs I really think that the opportunity that an artist profits of future sales of their work ist great. But the environmental inpact of on NFT alone is huge. It's caused by the consumtion of vast amounts of electrical power during the creation. For example if you do one NFT drop of one photo session with 5 pictures and each has 50 Originals it would use the same power as one houshold over 7 Years!
I have a question you’ve probably been asked a million times but, how do you have the confidence to just take pictures of random people? Do you ever have people who get really upset with you. I know some people can get really paranoid and maybe resort to getting violent. I want to start doing street photography but I’m a little nervous.
I have never had an issue. It’s about how you go about doing it. We attract the energy we put out. And if someone does ever question you just explain and show them the photo if they ask you to delete it just delete it.
This was a cool POV. I remember using Ilford film on a rangefinder camera like around 12 years ago. Looks like you’re cat was beating you up at the end of the video. Lol.
Watching the video and these photos makes me wanna buy one of those small phone photo printers from canon or xiaomi and see if i can replicate the same retro vibe.
Hello just found your channel, your content is sick! I was looking for Polaroid pov but I am enjoying all your content :D 1 question would you recommend a Polaroid one-step 2 for beginners? I want a camera I can put in bag and take everywhere
There was always a level of excitement when you'd get the envelope with the prints from a disposable camera. Loved the video.

I've been waiting for this finally 🥳
Such a cool concept!
this is so cool
I don’t think NFT are going to stay as the sales got down with 90% since last autumn, probably because people doesn’t understand the idea of it.

Are these SOOC or edited? Did you print or scan? These looks nice.
I saw it on instagram and i am hyped :)
Woohooo very beautiful

Would love to see you doing this is Manchester
Would be cool to do the Instax polaroid shoot
i have a dlsr and a minolta 35mm, and i prefer my 35mm lol.. you can take a picture of anything and it just looks so cool and retro
Is the color jumping a special edit effect or your video camera?
Is this not the half frame disposable?
Some great retro images, worked well in Chinatown, lanterns really popped
NFTs snake oil
Case and point... you don't need an crazy expensive dslr to take good photos... it's about you,not the camera..
Love the video btw, quick question can the film be replaced with new one and does it specify what type of film it requires
Do you use DRO auto on the Sony??? Or turn it off??? For photography
Top👏👏😍

Great Video! Want to do the same 😍😍 how did you get the photos digital? That would be interesting to know…just with a normal scanner or how??
Many development store have a option to get the photos also as a digital copy…
