So he wasnt gonna use it properly? What makes you think that. And the owner is full of shit. Racist fucks. You dont need a damn license fir a rifle. Talking about store policy. Foh
Agreed, if I was the store owner and someone walked in filming, I’d give them a weird look too, you don’t know if they scoping out the place to rob afterhours. 🤷♂️
Same thing happened to me when I was 18. I wanted to buy a Ruger 10/22 and the counter person said I had to be 21. I called BS and went downtown and told Old Phil Ross about it and he grumbled, had me start my 4473, turned and got one off his shelf, put it in a rifle sock and sent me on my way. First, they were probably a little uncomfortable with being filmed. How many times in the past years have store owners gotten slammed for RUclipsrs and videographers coming into their establishments and performing a so called “rights audit “To get clout and attention? Secondly, arms stores have to take extra precautions now because of how much people are vying for gun control. With all the shootings, they probably don’t want to get jail time for selling a firearm when the transaction seems suspicious. guy comes into store with mask (can’t ascertain identity) from out of state (possibly from a state with tighter gun laws) while being filmed (possibly to smear the owner) to purchase a firearm. You walk in filming, he wasn’t the guy working so you didn’t even get the guys name. You don’t know you can’t buy firearms without a license. If you had a CCW that would have worked. (To get that you have a license and background check) Also note most states you can buy long guns (rifles) out of state, but not HANDGUNS.
@@TheDreWay that’s crazy only a car registration?or registration and license? No wonder the wrong ppl can get they hands on a gun so easy if it’s only registration . We most definitely have to show a idea with address and our face on it here in Kansas. And if you go a different address on the license then where you stay they make you fix it. They gotta prove the actual person buying the gun is the person they say they are. Registration has no pictures anyone can get that off.
Just curious, why you wearin a mask? I can tell you right now, they most definitely do not like that. They wanna see your face. As for whatever you heard or were told, to buy a firearm in texas from an ffl, you have to have either a state issued ID or driver's license. Military or passport will work too, as long as it states that you're a current resident of Texas.
It's not you, it's the fact that you came into a gun store with a camera to film the crew without any notice. This is weird and that's why you get weird looks and with that the weird acting...
Cut your camera off for one. 2 have a Texas license or go to another store instead of hickory hill back woods klan land. 3 majority of Texas will not sell you a firearm if you don’t have an out of state license. To answer your question you should’ve been had a Texas Id being that you’ve lived in Texas for how long now 6years if not more. The man wasn’t racist plus you chopped the film up.
I mean look at the FBI statistics they’re just trying to be careful. I do understand though. It’s a tough one either way. If you were a local, I don’t think they would’ve worried as much go in there with the Texas license and if things don’t change it’s definitely because you’re black 😂
Those not living TX don’t quite know the problem. If you legally could and they are discriminating against you, then before walking in you must have your shit together, knowing how to calmly stand up for yourself. If that doesn’t pan out, then have video evidence of the discrimination and PROSECUTE! Your rights are the exact same as anyone else. Have your ducks in line ahead of time to calmly act properly, like any good citizen who EXPECTS same respect from these boys. If you did something the previous day there at the store that precludes them respecting you, then their attitude is proper. If not, then expect respect and prosecute with solid evidence. Also, have your buddy with you. Your white buddy standing off separate, does nicely. NOT to start argument with these boys; but to support prosecution if necessary. This comes from a Northern FFL. 😊
How Should I Have Handled This? 🤦♂️
Why I do go to gun store. Feel like I’m being judged but you did right and not buy shit.
Don’t *
You did right dre by leaving I feel like they was being racist towards you
You handled it perfectly ❤ don’t even stress about it take your business somewhere else! Let God handle your battles Dre!

Not true. Full armor firearms don’t require it. They allowed a car registration
