Nice! I am totally captivated by the Intrepid. As a citizen for nearly nine years and having owned many ships, this one ranks among my top favorites. She's a keeper in my book.
@AW-po7jr I know a guy who runs the Syulen as a daily driver and never shuts up about his love for it. And I love that guy, and anyone who finds the ship(s) that speak to them without paying much attention to the stats or buffs or nerfs
I feel like this little ship is a smuggler. I am having the same reaction, I cant get enough of this little ship. The combat is so much fun in this little ship.
Well I thought you could never top the "Drop-Bob", but then you did with the Bob-o-Love! A candlelight dinner in space - with a view that will make 600i owner jealous. Well done.
Is the deployed cargo ramp air-shielded? One cannot consume food and drink without removing helmets and breaking seals, at least, until we get gas mask style drinking adaptors.
Even though I still think the Intrepid looks like a C1 and Ion had a love child, I rented one at the IAE and was rather impressed with the interior and handling of the Intrepid. I can see it as a decent starter/second ship.
@@Citizen-Bob The Cutter Rambler has 1.5scu, and the Syulen has 1.0scu. All of the "new" starters with beds have much more QT range/fuel capacity than previous starters. These are "Pyro-ready Starters," which boast _significant_ travel advantage over previous starters. The Titan, for instance, cannot even travel the width of Stanton without refueling. Also consider, the travel req's both to the JG on one side, and from the other side to the nearest refuel point. With faction rep limiting refuel options in Pyro, which is also a bigger system, you will want either a bigger ship, or a larger QT capacity on smaller ships.
In the 4.0 PTU CIG nerfed the fuel of the Cutter and Syulen to 0.5 and the Rambler to 1.0, making the Intrepid the one with most fuel and the Rambler the only other pyro-ready option
Bob, i admire your attempts, but you can actually squeeze 21 1scu boxes if you stack the engineering section correctly, and, if you turn your low end arm chairs sideways you can fit six on each side (i've got shots of that one up on Reddit, lol)
Bob O-Love is my favorite! I've always wanted a small starter ship from Crusader Industries. So far the small one has been pretty huge when you think of the C1 Spirit. There is also a Bob-o-Armory variant. In this variant, you put an Atrrition 4 Laser Repeater in a cargo bay and use a Revenant as your main armament. Once the ballistics are empty, open the hatches, pull the Reveant out of the base and put it in the cargo bay, then use the Laser Repeater. This way you always have the right weapon with you. There's only one thing you shouldn't do in the Intrepid: LOCK OUT in bed. Every time you log in, the ship explodes. The Conchierge Paint really is the most beautiful paint.
That's what I keep saying. People look at ship labels: "explorer", "luxury", "data runner" and they can't think outside the box to really push the boundaries of what your ship can do.
I was checking SP viewer and the intrepid has the second longest QT range of all starters, second only to the Cutter Rambler If you want a starter that's Pyro-ready, either demand they bring other starters in-line, or get a Cutter, or Intrepid. (until they nerf the Intrepid to sell a variant) *NOTE:* All QT drives are normalized atm, however, the QT fuel capacities are not. The Rambler, Intrepid, and Syulen are 1, 2, & 3 for QT fuel capacity.
I didn’t think I would like the intrepid but I love it for gear gathering missions. Run down to a planet, drop the ramps, murder hobo and entire settlement, and begin the bodies and gear back to the station. It’s quick and has the perfect cargo holds for this purpose.
I was like most, saw this ship and said wtf, a tiny inferno? But then I flew it. It's so much fun! It won't make you money, but it is absolutely worth flying just for fun. Sounds amazing
17 SCU? Nice!!! The Bob-o-love version.... I love it! I have ships ranging from the Pulse all the way to the Polaris and the Intrepid is one of the most fun ships I have. I also see it as a good engineering simulator for when engineering game play is introduced. Easier to practice on a small ship than a Starlancer, M2, etc...
That ship could allow hundreds of variations, one more beautiful than the other, as well as more useless. that's why it is the “Bobbest” ship in the Verse
When the pilot of an intrepid meets the pilot of a titan, the intrepid pilot is a dead pilot ☠️ A single S4 Vs 2xS4 and two S3... even a burrito would understand that there is no story! But you are not a burrito, you are Bob, and a TITAN just blew you up 💥 Cheers 🌯
I love doing ramdom shot like this with my ships 😂. When i got the intrepid my first thought was "8 SCU huh. I wonder how many it can actually fit?" I managed 16 and can probably do more
Oh you don't know about the Intrepid boMbR ? Comes with... how many seats did the Drop-Bob hold? Yeah.. that number.. thats how many rail guns comes with the Intrepid boMbR.
I'm not gonna comment on the inteprid in particular, but lately I have found myself disappointed with many a ship: The story usually goes like this for me - I look at the ships first, see if I like its looks. Then I look a tthe role and stats, and it seem fine on paper. I usually go for practicality and versatility first, and only get few dedicated specialist ships. So when I decided on the ship/varian I want, I see what others have to say, and if possible try it myself. And that is where the problem begins. I really loved the Scorpius, but the animation (especially if you bring a gunner) is just horrible. The default load out is a joke. And the wings could not be more flimsy if they tried. I loved the C1, until I was near any hangar. I loved the MSR, until I flew it and looked at the reful cost (a long time ago). I loved the Zeus Mk2 CL on paper and its looks, but it is a 64 SCU ship in reality. I liked the Starlancer MAX until I saw it could easily be an 800 SCU ship. And you really only want to load 12x16scu for sake of efficiency with your time (unless you go REALLY far). I like the Railen on paper, but the weird toblerone cargo pods WILL be a show stopper, they are a complete afterthought. The list goes on. To date I have not yet found a ship that did not have a almost crippling oversight or drawback that I could call wholeheartedly my daily driver. Part of me has high hopes for the Connie rework, and if they manage to somehow make the Arrastra unusable I'm gonna ..... be a very unhappy citizen.

Nobody can resist those. So romantic!

That, my dear sir, is called having good taste! Congratulations!
Wait a year or so before making it a keeper. They said the same thing about the Syulen and nowadays nobody uses it.

Me too! I'm trying to imagine how they would be and all the images that come to mind are hilarious 😂
Well Bob, I just lost my morning coffee - through my nose! Bravo!!!
The first time we meet I'll buy you another one to make up for it

Like you, there are millions of people around the world who are reevaluating their opinion of Intrepid. Well, maybe millions aren't, but dozens are.
Intrepid has 1.2 Quantum SCU and Avengers Titan has only 0.5 SCU which is a big factor!
That is something indeed

I'll take one Bob o Love, no questions asked no questions answered
you chose wisely!
It just cam out, of course many of us won't know about the other variants they haven't told us about.
Question, which cargo mission gives you all 1SCU box or 2 SCU box?
You can read that info in the description of the mission. If gives you always the biggest size of boxes you need to carry. Just find those with 1 SCU.
Nice video. That single size 1 shield though.
That shield is not a flaw, it is an encouragement to become better pilots!
You forgot the "Bob-E", Executive edition. Although you'd have a lot of people calling their ship Bobby, I think it's worth the risk. 😀
