That was the motivation! Wanted to see a video about one of my favourites and couldnt find a video thats not older than 5 years, so I made one myself ;)
I would love to have a Hull b in my line up! it feels like the perfect balance. and it is 100% what i like to call EZ Load capacity. (big boxes that are quick to put in and are not hard to get at) for example the free lancer has 66 units of cargo capacity but most of it is small boxes you have to wedge in or is hidden in a hard to access room. it only has 32 EZ cargo capacity. Starfarer has 291 but once again most is small stuff. its EZ Load capacity is either 144 or 128 (depending on whether you want to mess with size 8 boxes which are border line EZ) The Raft and the hull A have 100% Ez load you can fill every space of their cargo grids with large boxes. loading and unloading on diamond or gold runs takes seconds and allows you more time to rapidly travel back and forth for more.
Exactly! Many ships have the problem that uneven cargo boxes and amounts make it incredibly complicated. Imagine multiple missions with 1 pickup place. Different sized boxes, amounts and destinations. The Hull B will be a gem. I just hope they get to work on it.
I had the exact same thoughts, that the Hull B would be the most cargo a solo player could deliver the cheapest. That's why I think the Hull B will be my go to for solo cargo hauling.
You're off on the cargo calculations. It suffers from the era of the 24scu default container, which was since abandoned for the 32scu standard. This is causing problems all over the place. Just look at the Caterpillar. Designed perfectly to hold a lot of 24-scu boxes, it now is a clunky relic, unable to transport the default 32, and the 16's don't fill the holds efficiently. The Hull A was supposed to hold one 24-scu container on each arm, not 2x 16. They had to upgrade the ship but didn't want to stretch it to full 32-scu ones. The Hull B was intended to hold 4x 24 on each arm, and so on for the other Hulls. How they change the B will be interesting. 4x32 scu per arm? That will increase capacity by a full quarter on an already ginormous capacity. And they have to solve the landing-with-cargo problem caused by the bottom arm plus unloading manually from the top arm. C, D and E can't land and don't have to care about this, so the B actually may be the biggest headache of them all.
Thanks I didnt know that! Interessting, as a programmer I'd say Keep It Simple. Just remove the bottom part and increase the capacity of the others. That would make the landing really easy. Hull A has 2 sides, Hull B could have 3. But we'll see I bet CIG will do something overly complicated
@Luix_OS That's actually one of my preferred alternatives, but the best solution might be to rotate all arms 45° and collapse them x-wing style to horizontal for landing.
I love MISC ships and I love hauling, of course I picked up a Hull-B at IAE ^^ ... so I really hope they work on her again soon, because the Hull-A was allready a blast to fly and do some missions with
@@Luix_OS Being patient comes with the game ;-), I think the biggest problem they have with her is the amount of cargo and being able to land with it. But I have the Starlancer Max as well, so I wont have a problem hauling until the B is out.
You missed the fact that they updated the ship matrix information, and the hull B now includes a remote size 2 turret aside from the pilot controller size 2s.
I just hopped on the page and you are right ... but why we need a remote turret in a solo ship, I don´t know ... I´d rather have some tractor beams instead ^^
@@Luix_OS looks like it will be bigger than anticipated. Somewhere between the Hull A and Hull C. I’m thinking the hold up is with the planet side landing and how the landing gear will be successfully integrated with the Hull B fully laden.
@@JayNut_001 I’m always down for more features. I would like a tractor turret on the Hull B above the habitation and a defensive turret above the engine half of the ship. That would make loading and unloading boxes a lot better.
you could save a cheap CCU now during IAE. DUR to Hull B is 5$, so in case you want it or the price changes you have it ready / in your buy back. I think both ships are amazing. But the Hull B is more for longer ranger and raft for shorter interplanetary routes. Also, dont upgrade it yet (or apply the upgrade). You'd just get a Hull A as loaner
The Hull A atm has 1.2M QT fuel so i think the B will have 3M in qt fuel and the hydrogen makes sense like you speculated 2000. Also the max container size would make sense to be 16SCU, to me this is the biggest SCU hauling single player ship we can get for it's capacity and size.
@@Luix_OS at the moment that's how my Hull A is, also the intrepid has the same QT fuel, in 4.0 we will see changes with the rebalancing, to me the 1.2m makes sense as you can get around stanton, pryo will be another matter, like the starlancer has 3M qt fuel at this moment.
good video editing. seems a weird ship size to go for one player. especially with how many boxes it is to attach and detach, doing that alone would get tiresome.
Thank you! I think the size is ideal for me, not too big but not tiny. And I just hope I get to use 16 Scu boxes, I could handle 24 Boxes. But in the end I'll probably use auto loading.
Refreshing to see the best cargo ship in the game in a video again.

As an industrial player, this ship is my main target for purchase in game.

Yes! Sadly a ship that would perfectly fit in the current game state is not in yet.
We can only hope it gets some priority soon

I'd say we have to be patient with the Hull B.
But it's for sure a great ship to own
