The SE server I hosted (modded) turned out to be unstable after three days of playing the game and we kept running into issues logging in. My best understanding is the server was trying to load TOO much and it especially struggled with voxel loading.
looks to me like the scaffold isnt a new scaffold block with catwalk in it, its that they took the armor panels and made them scaffold panels making whats in picture two 3 blocks the catwalk with a diagonal half scaffold panel on both sides

there is finally a new way to communicate with distance objects you send into space such as drones or satellites but people here are more worried about passage block astetics 😢, makes me feel hopeless for the world in the comiing future, looks are more important than functionality? seems im the only one so happy to finally be able to efficiently communicate with my distant drones since i mostly play the game from the ground, only go in space if i absolutely have to which is more often than i like 🤦, i just want to build up a base and then build up a logistics network along with distant communication abilities which is only half since my smart drones are the best part of my gameplay
In the section of the video where Splitsie first shows off the blocks by spell CAPAG, I think those are new LCDs as well. They look like they could be half block LCDs, unless we have those and I just haven't noticed, but the other think that I noticed was that the new desks were up against the wall under the LCDs.
Inset LCDs, acting as wall for the [desk block name]. Even when using a large font size, 1 line of text (or a single character, like these) won't take up much of the screen, and mostly use half of it ...or that's just how I interpret it
The "signals" were already in the game, just that they were available only through scripting and Splitsie always complains about having to setup a script to open and close the "garage doors" also I've noticed that the windows looks like "half-block" variants with a 2x1 centered piece in this shot 2:57
My major problems with these kinds of blocks are having to configure them all if they get taken out, plus having to fit a small grid with all these ai and etc. blocks can be a annoying. I'd love a compact way to do it, maybe have the event block can trigger different actions instead of having 50 blocks to do it? Do it how you can change each lcd screen in a cockpit.
I was trying to make a system that send missiles to an outpost or grid that detected a targer/enemy but I wanted it on a large scale but now with this it will work it didn't work with the antenna and laser thing because you can't send info or commands automatically but prob with scripts but I don't do scripts so this will make my custom defence systems be or powerful in the future.
hope it's a good DLC be nice surprise to see new vanilla weapons an ship designs to the game an also new weapons for the engineer to use like the shotgun or a sniper rifle. I also like to see the DLC have these new weapons an system as well plus fixes.
when it comes to passage ways, id be more worried if they are airtight and allow air to flow thru the inside of said passage.. these always seem to be a grey area both vanilla and modded passage ways....
Huh? I dont have any Problems with Passages and Air passing through. I made a Ship full of Passages and they are Airtight and allow Air to pass through. I also like to use Passages and those Laminated Windows to hide Air Vents and make Ventilation Shafts. No problem with Air passing through 🤔
how about using these to make real time camera images that could be fracking native NO NEED FOR MODS which actually to my knowledge no mod exist for having a camera transmit its view in real time to an LCD on the same signal but with this DLC it might be possible
You make a fair point and I am not sure about a mod, but there is a plugin that transmits a specific camera view to an LCD. But it would be awesome if that was a base game feature, I absolutely agree.
It exists but janky as hell to open it. Hope they fix/tune the event controller. Frustrating when they jam up, they should put in som way to auto reset it so when a Event do happen it is ready and performs it. Bit of topic but...😂

Those passage blocks are enclosed. Im very happy to see them since I've had to use mods to have enclosed passages all this time.

Intergrid communication system is already in the game, you have all these methods like IMyBroadcastListener etc.

It could have just been the full block LCD, and splitsie arranged the letters to be in the center of the visible area

I hope we will be able to set angles of hinges just like we ll be able to set the channel of the relayq

Agree, large grid AI and event control blocks will be better with two to four functions in one block instead of one.
you dont have to reconfigure them, if you have a blueprint of when they are all set up. You can just rebuild them with the blueprint.
