    We have to remember we are on HIS journey. Not hers. She just met him, is a battle hardened soldier and is unafraid. It seems dumb for her not to listen but she has known him for a couple hours. He knows she never makes it and he is wanting to spend as much time as he can with her because he knows she is going to do exactly what she did.

    • @garryjones62
      @garryjones62 11 месяцев назад +3

      However, she also knows what it’s like to be in the loop. If anyone understands this concept it’s her. Up to this point in the mission she used this power. It was out of character for her to stop listening to him after coming so far and sacrifice herself dispute her sacrifice not achieving anything.

    Bear with me a moment why I try to articulate a thought about this scene. I'm sure others have thought of this. But it just dawned on me what Rita must have been thinking when she realized Cage was trying to save her. She did the same thing with her former lover and now realizing Cage is doing the same thing is compelling. In a brief moment she pushes Cage forward with inner strength knowing she'll die but the mission must move on from this moment of time. Think I'll watch it again. Been awhile. Saw it in a theater first and couldn't wait for it to come out. Great movie.

    It's years spent "alone" in a way. No matter what you say or do matters because you'll reset back to the start by yourself. I understand they didn't want to go too far into this aspect for the movie, but it is quite f'd up for his mental to see her die each day for god knows how long.
