I have it and use it for other synths, but beware, a LOT of synths do not have enough space between the keybed and the buttons or knobs on the main panel to fit the RBN-1, for example the lovely ThirdWave doesn't have space. And also a lot of synths are plastic not metal .. and then the RBN-1 kind of slips a bit more. I also find the cable protruding off to the right side a little bit fiddly. But I do enjoy using it and it enhances my interaction with the instrument.

What I don't understand is why didn't UDO include a ribbon controller with the Super 8 to begin with? The space is there for it. A big oversight for me as I'd buy one with, but certainly not liking the DIY look on an expensive synth.

Perhaps to differentiate it more from the Super Gemini?

@mistervalentin8396 if true that's too much of a compromise for me. There's enough differentiation at it is. It looks as if there was a choice made at development stage to leave it out as there is just the right sized space above the keyboard, and it looks a bit bare without it. I'm not knocking the synth or UDO. They're fantastic synths with great sound but but but.. it's frustrating
