For anyone who wants to hear what Dusty can really do, have a listen to 'i just don't know what to do with myself' and/or 'i close my eyes and count to ten'. Basically, just listen to anything by Dusty. Go on, treat yourself! ❤
Once you discover Dusty, you're never the same. Have a listen to another Bacharach & David song Dusty recorded...I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself...(listen to her live version from the early 60s on The Bacharach Sound TV special, there a little intro commentary by Burt... then it's all Dusty, it's on RUclips, posted by DustyRareties).. then some others like I Close My Eyes and Count to Ten, Losing You (the one written by her brother Tom for her. ) Goin Back and Some of Your Lovin (written by Carole King) .... Just a Little Lovin and Breakfast in Bed from her Dusty in Memphis Album are very different, soulful and smooth. For a start..... First timer with your reactions, subscribing because you have a great presentation style, voice... and you appreciate Dusty.
What a beautiful. beautiful rendition of this lovely song. Dusty Springfield, surely one of the best female vocalists of all times. Her voice is effortless.
I stumbled across your reaction by accident. Might be my favorite rendition of this great Bacharach song, So well done. I never heard a better live TV performance by Dusty who is among the best pop singers of my lifetime She could sing anything !
Burts. songs were pure magic. This collaboration with Dust I've heard many time's, and it's goose flesh every time. Why did sh never put it on one of her albums?? This very TV version? She sang it live, folks!
❤❤❤Dusty ❤❤❤ I love this reaction Pat. Probably my favorite Dusty performance. Live and just gorgeous. Welcome to the Genius of The Great Miss Dusty Springfield ❤
Hi ,I'm a life long fan of Dusty. Do yourself a favour and listen to a track from her final album before she died. The track is "I can't help the way that I don't feel". Sounding very different because she has recently been through cancer treatment and it affected her voice but.....the LOVE is still there xx
There is an interview you can watch where Dusty talks about doing this duet with Burt. She was extremely nervous because, unlike most tv shows, this one was being shown live. If she made a mistake millions or people would see it, and she said this was a hard song to sing because you really had to use the full force of your voice.
A legend for a reason. Elton John idolized her and inducted her posthumously into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Check her cover of another Bachrach song, "The Look of Love" but choose the one from the "Just Dusty" album. Sexiest version, imo.
Just listen to the many tracks from Dusty in Memphis especially I don't wanna hear it....Cissy Houston, Whitney's Mum led the vocal backing on the whole album. Dusty was in awe of these wonderful voices and was flattered to be included in such a beautiful sound. If you listen to her final album before she died, bless her. It's a completely different vocal but nonetheless wonderful.. Album called A very fine love.
Hi This was a track from a television show done in April 1970. The show was "An Evening with Burt Bacharach". It also featured Mireille Mathieu, Juliet Prowes and Dusty Springfield. Another one of Dusty's great interpretation of a great song, written by a great composer Burt Bacharach and not forgetting Hal David's wonderful lyrics!
@DR-pd4sv people neglect lyricist Hal David and focus on the contribution of Burt Bacharach, but it's the words in a song that involve us and stir our emotions.
I went to sleep listening to your Bee Gees reactions last night! You have the best reactions. And your voice is like butta Mr. President 😅I enjoyed this video- the background info and your assessment of Bachrach's nice voice & Dusty's lovely voice. Spot on. Have a great day!❤❤❤
Dusty could sing anything. The live performances from her British TV series' in the 60s are fire. Check out these two to further experience her vocal power and stage presence: "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me": ruclips.net/video/QR4vE9xL3yk/видео.html "All I See Is You": ruclips.net/video/O3Jup5jpxaA/видео.html
Wow! These two are making wonderful music here. Like you, I loved the the chromatic scale sliding upwards in the middle of the song. Effortless elegance.
Autotune and other gimmicks ruined so much about music. I think that's part of what drives people to be interested in reaction videos-the joy of experiencing someone appreciating the music of the past, especially the music of our own youth.
One of the best versions of this song.........EVER!!!!!
There was nobody like Dusty; I'll always miss her.
Burt stated that he thought that Dusty interpreted. His songs better than anyone else.
Yes he did. They were both very fond of each other.
Dionne Warwick is up there too and her voice catapulted Bacharach and Hal David into superstardom.
For anyone who wants to hear what Dusty can really do, have a listen to

Absolutely!
No One , absolutely NO ONE, compares to Darling Dusty!!
Dust nailed this song. Its her's best version.
Dusty Springfield might be my favorite female singer along with Karen Carpenter.

Dusty-post-1970-vocal slander will not be tolerated.
Another masterclass in live performance from the beautiful Dusty Springfield.
He was a genius songwriter and she had the voice of an angel

Anne Murray from Nova Scotia;: "You Needed Me", loved Dusty's singing also!! Truly a legend Dusty! R.I.P.
Elvis Presley had two favorite female singers, Anne Murray and Dusty Springfield.

Please, please listen to the 'Dusty in Memphis' album, it is absolutely stunning and in my opinion the best that Dusty has ever sounded!
One of the greatest female albums of all time.

She went too soon, a fantastic voice🎵
Wow...great song and very handsome guy ❤❤😊😊
Did have a crush on Mr. B. 😉
Brook Benton was the first to sing it, in the movie. Wouldn't it have been great if he had duetted with Dusty?
One of THE best female singer of all time

What a tragedy that Dusty never recorded this song.
Cilla Black singing Alfie, by Burt Bacharach , the live recording is excellent 👌
It's nice but it makes you appreciate Streisand's performance of the song that much more. And Burt is just awful.
@tobiasisback4605 You say it so well.
@tobiasisback4605
Agreed.
No one.... ABSOLUTLY NO ONE compares to Dusty!!
