I think Americans need to look at the police department and the trainings of officers over there, fire them all and start from scratch, with training that involves an exact situation like this and what should've happened instead of what did, so they can understand someone might get a bullet shot at them while entering the room but return fire and don't hesitate because it costs lives ever minute they don't respond.

First that’s just insulting to the community. To hire a cop that is under investigation for that travesty. Especially when you hear her comments of not being concerned since her child wasn’t in the school.
But secondly, is this the service these families can expect? To get rid of the first group of bad cops by just hiring from the other groups?
Pretty much tells you that the first batch of cowardly cops will be picked up by other departments.
It seems more like law enforcement is just playing a shell game. Moving various officers to different departments because they believe that the citizens concerns are invalid, and that the citizens are just that stupid that we won’t find out.
Shows just how stern the punishments for such brazen cowardice will be. Nothing!
Just 1 question tho. Why do police departments use schools as their ‘dumping grounds’ for bad cops under review? It seems if a cop has allegations against him, they end up being assigned to be school resource officers. Which makes zero sense. A cop that loses his composure while dealing with an adult and uses excessive force, that cop will not have the mental prowess to deal with a lippy teen. It’s just a setup for a bigger scandal and lawsuit.

But I've often wondered why nothing has been said about this father who was in that hallway for most of those 77 minutes. He can be seen in the school hallway surveillance footage, pretty much standing in the same spot, never making an attempt to go near the door, let alone confront the shooter because his daughter was in there. Surely his wife has seen the footage. I wonder if they've had "that" conversation. I wonder.

OK... I suppose it's a good thing she was fired... Dare I ask what of the other 400 present on that day? I watched the whole 77 minutes or so of that video in the hallway, in total shock, within a matter of minutes, there were at least 10-15 cops at each end of the corridor where the 2 classrooms were. Although the first ones that entered the corridor and retreated only had handguns, the next ones showed up with assault rifles, then shields, etc. And they stood by, waiting, apparently, the audio was suppressed because at a few occasions, the children's screams could be heard... And yet dozens of big burly, macho cops, equipped like they're in a war zone waited and waited... ALL OF THEM NEED TO BE FIRED! Perhaps even prosecuted for non-assistance. One 18 year old kid with an AR held dozens of well equipped and trained male police officers. I can't help but feel this cop is being scapegoated a bit... The fact that she a female officer also bothers me as she wasn't among the dozens of fully equipped male officers I saw doing nothing at each end of the corridor!!! Bet you over half of them had served in Irak or Afghanistan. I find that very troubling! Does anyone know what happened to the cops INSIDE?

No. She was under investigation as a dps trooper because she was the first trooper in the hallway following the shooter and didn't bother grabbing her vest and rifle from her car. So she didn't intend on saving anyone, probably just intended on calling back up and hide somewhere. She could've ended the threat right there but cowered down and waited for others to take the initiative. Not blaming her as a person, but she had no business being a cop. So then she got suspended and was under investigation so she resigned and applied for school police job and was hired. Until they found out what she really did. It's not because of what she said on video, that was just icing on the cake

When policy says 'Engage'... Those who do NOT are derelict and cowardly. My conclusion is this another example of criminal (deadly) neglect of brown and black folks during a pogrom!

What did they want her to do? She could have gone in alone and been killed. Then her child would have been motherless. Most of these cops in the USA will not put their lives on the line. The Supreme Court has already ruled there's no duty to protect.
