As usual you nailed it, as build quality goes, I’ve always seen the Wilson guns as the Cadillac of US made guns, still leaving room for the Roll’s and Benz and everything in between.
The fit and finish of any gun is my gauge, then watching Chris drive nails from 50 & 100 yards out seal’s the deal.
Still waiting for Mrs Outlaw to shoot it as I’ve come to respect her opinion. Being an old fart, if she can handle the recoil, so can I 😃 I can still handle my 1911’s but they hurt 😞 the next day.
Who am I fooling, my Beretta 92 hurts too!

It looks like a great carry/duty with a 4" barrel gun, but there are too many highly reliable alternatives that are half its price. I don't think I could justify replacing my $1,200 p226 legion with this gun, with money not even being part of the consideration. Other than failed primers, I've not had a malfunction in over 2500 rounds. I'm not into competition and I think my Shadow 2 and souped up Tanfo Stock III fit my needs for accuracy at half the price. That said, I can't hit out past 25 yards on a regular basis with these 60-year-old eyes. Chris is an amazing shooter.

Depends on your purpose, if it’s for bears then 10mm if it’s for threats of the 2 leg variety go 9mm for the capacity. 9mm has enough punch to reliably get the penetration required and maximizes the capacity. I’d rather have 15 rounds and only need 6 then have 6 and need 7.

I was about to order one with an RMR and threaded barrel at around 4300$ but saw the 4" on BDU for 2600$ delivered w/o optic cuts. I am considering going with a stacatto as well to get a threaded barrel and RMR for around 1,000$ less than the wilson especially seeing how much you like yours. Unfortunately I also watched your CMMG Dissent video and the STI has to go on the backburner since I love the wilson and really like the concept of the the Dissent(Of course I have DD PDW and Omega 300 in jail right now). My Dan Wesson Valor has been dethroned. Definitely the finest handgun I have ever had the pleasure to own. The first day out my baby hands were not fond of the metal grips but it has been over a month and I absolutely love it. I wish I could've went with the custom coyote brown one I wanted but couldn't justify the extra 1700$ IMO with the cost of ammo these days

I just have trouble rationalizing a $2,800 EDC gun. I could shoot a $1,200 gun just as well and not risk having it stolen or God forbid tied up in police custody.
I would like the 5 inch as a range gun though.

Brooooooo yes 🙌🏼. I’ve been looking for videos on this model for like the last week and there’s hardly any. It’s between this and a Staccato C2 and I’ve been on your Staccato videos recently. This will be my first true gun snob purchase 😂

I have A C2 and poking at getting this and selling C2. It’s all about the grip. The C2 is more blocky and thicker grip. Some prefer that. sFX9 is really slim grip and for me that works better. Both will be great shooters.

Absolutely a wet dream gun to have because of the price tag.
For that much I can get a Glock 19 and a Benelli M4 , military grade shot gun and still have enough $ ammo for BOTH.
    Benelli M4- $1,300
    Glock 19 - $500
Still would love to have one.

  • @WorthDoingRight
    @WorthDoingRight 2 года назад

I know it is an apples to oranges comparison to compare this to the Shield Plus 4" Performance Center being the S&W is a striker fired pistol...but other than that, I see a lot of similarities between the two...slim grip, 4" barrel, good triggers (even though one is striker fire), and the most obvious difference being polymer vs metal...oh and price.
That said, which would you trust more with your life? I ask because people have questioned the reliability of the 1911 design in adverse conditions, and well...this Wilson is designed for EDC. Thanks.

At 6:00 said fiber optic front sight with black out rear sight is probably the best, but at 6:23 said if will keep probably (keep red dot) and switch red front sight to black out. The reason I bring this up is consider getting optics cut on next 9mm. One issue is the Chicago suburbs ranges limit pistol shooting to 25yards.

Hard to tell sometimes if a gun sucks as clearly you've worked extremely hard and can easily hit targets at ranges I personally once in a blue moon in perfect conditions can hit. It is fun to watch an experienced and passionate shooter make shots, I'm starting to watch not just what you say about a gun but do a lot of pausing to see how you grip, raise the gun, even breath timing. Sincerely appreciate you and a few other of my go to reviewers talk about pros, cons, etc. Been a great year for me and my gun safe, blessed to have dodged a bit of the COVID disruptions and got 7 great guns in the high 800-1200 range, decked out a few with new optics, swapped sights etc. and loaded up on ammo. Good timing, there have been some great stuff come out past couple of years. Long thank you, but definitely impact my purchasing decisions.

well many of the high-end guns are hand fitted, then bench rest tested/proof, and are guaranteed to shoot a certain sized grouping at certain distances before shipping out to customers..... so if you buy one of those and aren't achieving those groupings, it's pretty safe to say it's not the gun's fault 😂
