@@HenrikHarrell I am focused on modular so my 'desk' is just ableton and the modular wall is behind me. I have some analog gear that's used before it becomes digital so I'll master a live patch and record the end result. I made an 'L" to put a keyboard next to me using two IKEA desk stands with adjustable heights and a custom wooden top. So, completely different workflow in the video domain :)
Got it! Yeah, it's definitely a unique workflow. I've made the decision to structure my studio to focus on mixing and mastering, as well as digital production for now. I'm also planning to hang acoustic panels around the room to enhance the sound quality. I'll be sharing the entire process in my next video, so stay tuned for that! Thanks for the video! I am looking at the bigger version of this desk and I have a question after watching your video. I noticed you didn't put the extra pieces of desktop under the rack rails in place. I thought you could do this temporarily to give you some extra desk space under the shelf until the time you have outboard rack gear to put in the rack rails?? That is what I was hoping to do if I got this desk. How do those extra pieces slot in to those holes? Are they screwed in or jus sit in there somehow? 🙂
Hi there! I'm glad you found it useful! I'm sorry for the late reply. If I understood your comment correctly, you're referring to the holes at 05:34. I removed the extra pieces (lids) when I assembled the desk, but then I put them back because the desk looked too empty even with those metal plates. Those lids just sit there without needing to be screwed.
I left a small space between the hole and the lids to let my keyboard cables and other cables come through it. DM me on Instagram I can send you a video showing how I placed them. Let me know if I have been clear enough.

Did you get a right angle usb adapter so the keyboard can retract full?
