Perfect! Kuala Lumpur is one of the most thunderous places on Earth. Also, annual precipitation of KL is just about 2500 mm. KL is my dream place for living.
I live in outskirts of Mangalore (India)where it is too much thundery every year at least 9 times lighting hit our colony it receives very heavy rain fall especially during Indian monsoon season during this four months rainy season (june-sep)it gets more than 4000 mm
Wow damn! That was insane! Love how so many people seem to like the display of Mother Nature while in my country (Netherlands) people usually seem to hate it.
The only reasons which i expect from other people to hate it is because of sudden thunder explosions or the damage it causes. Especially when it happens so often that people can't feel safe to sleep late at night or happens frequently annoying their daily routine.
One anecdote from a thunderstorm in Kuala Lumpur I recall vividly was a storm of this intensity whilst I was walking around KL Sentral. The astonishing part for me was the way the locals just carried on as if it was a light drizzle. Literally no reaction to extremely close and frequent lightning strikes all around. This leads me to believe the people in this video were not Malaysians.
Yes, we came from different countries, we attended trainings that time... Malaysians are used to this kind of lightnings and so it's very normal to them, but for us foreigners it is something we don't see everyday, it was an amazing experience though 😍😍😍
Malaysian here, that thunderstorm actually its quite normal here. I will just stay inside the building, because I hate constant sudden loud explosive sound by the lightning.
@@lamargoat2.054 The sound is like an explosion, when it hits close. I just feel wrong to call it thunder,, because it's not like that at all and misleading.
@@mikeymcmikeface5599 Well, yea its still thunder. Thunder is a shockwave caused by the heat of the lightning strike. The reason it's like that is because the air around the lightning heats up very rapidly, hotter than the surface of the sun, and that causes the air to expand rapidly, exactly like a shock wave. And the more closer you are to the lightning, the more louder it gets. The further you are from the strike, the more you are gonna hear your normal, calm typical thunder. Meaning that if the thunder is quiet for you, someone else much closer to the strike hears that same exact thunder, but just 100X louder if that makes sense.
Tropical thunderstorms usually aren't severe, but for some reason they will often produce a ton of CG lighting. It might just be the sheer amount of water in the cloud from the super oppressive humidity associated with the warm equatorial waters, not the speed of the updraft which is probably slower than a middle latitude severe storm. Really strong storms in the Midwest US are different. You get a lot of lighting flashes, but probably only 1-2% of the flashes are discharges hitting the ground. The result is a lot of soft rumbly thunder coming from many flashes dancing about very high in the clouds, not loud bolts hitting the ground one after the other like this. These frequent bolts are unique to tropical thunderstorms.
In Malaysia people love taking a nap during thunderstorm.. Its cold and relaxing. Even with the heaviest, house shaking, alarm blaring thunderstorm people felt sleepy and hungry.
That looks kind of dangerous⚠️ to be sitting and standing outside in an incoming severe thunderstorm and they can get seriously hurt and electrocuted☣⚠️ by lightning and they can go to the hospital but some people just never know .😭😇
Since Malaysia is Tropical country, cumulonimbus cloud usually form in massive scale. Like the weather it self, we face super hot day for months n then get ready with rain season. Also, Kuala Lumpur is the thunderous place in the world. But for us Malaysian, this scene is very normal n not react this much. Just gasp for a while, maybe sometime we really shock when the lightning comes really close just like the one at the last video😂
It's normal here in Malaysia but I don't dare watching or recording the lightning with my phone because you know the risk. When there are lightning, I usually unplug the electrical appliances because these days the thunderstorms become worse and worse. After the lightning strikes, the thunder comes afterwards and the ground even shakes...
