Is it necessary to use only white rum or we can go with any rum like can we make this drink with old monk?

There are different Absinthe, so can someone point me to the right one?

The herbs in it should be distilled, that's a good sign (some don't do that). I suggest Zufanek absinthe called St. Antoine, but I don't know if it's available in your country.

Absinthe Is High ABV Alcohol So If You Strong You Can Try But I Highly Recommend Don't Try

Shootingstarr it is less sour than normal sparkling mineral water. but in my opinion sparkling mineral water works fine most of the time :)

Hmm - good question! Absinthe has a strong liquorice aniseed flavour, so you want something that will replicate. How about Pastis?
