    Thanks for this, the TS508 is a great tool, and I too was a bit confounded about performing the relearn. Autel’s information and video wasn’t all that clear on how to carry it out. Finally got it figured out after a couple trials, and it is the only TPMS tool I use. A further heads up, after downloading any updates, be sure to configure to USA specs!
    Keep on making your videos. All are very informative. Thanks again!

    So I imagine those wires tend to break due to the gauge size being so small?
    I really like this bypass testing tip using the LED TL and appropriate front probe kit Pat, an excellent tip, so thanks for sharing it!

    I bet that person criticizing you doesn't know that some manufacturers have front probe special tools for measuring circuits on the terminal side and checking pin fit! Some people just must find something to criticize I guess.
    I like that TPMS tool! The ATEQ VT55 that I use on Acuras doesn't work quite as well as that!
    When I saw you sped up the footage of the TPMS sensor replacement, I couldn't help but think that must be how fast manufacturers think we work when determining warranty times. 🤣

    Awesome tool at a great price, I've replaced and programmed dozens on tpms sensors with this tool, also comes in handy to make duplicate IDs for broken or leaking valve stems. My one fyi is always make sure you program to the right year make and model by scanning the other sensors first. Once programmed the autel sensors cannot reprogram.

    • @VoltageDropDiagnostics
      @VoltageDropDiagnostics  4 года назад

      Thats a solid tip! We have also used it to duplicate IDs so that the customer can run winter wheels and summer wheels without needing to program the sensors every time they change them.

    Very cool on substituting the wheel speed sensor. I have a led testlight I never use. Now I have a use for it. The old sensor has a number on it that I have used to write the id on an Autel sensor. U would probably use a Toyota sensor that has a number and is not programmable. I have the older Autel tpms tool. Thank u for the great video!!

      DIY Dave that autel is a good scope. The leads aren’t the best, and can pick up a lot of noise, so eventually you may want to purchase a set of leads from AESwave.

      We dont have access to the hilux over here in the states, unfortunately. So im only guessing when I say that the voltage should be very low on the ground wire. But I also seen that you said that you had the connector unplugged. So unless the wire should have bias voltage. Im going to say no, it should not have voltage on that wire.

    • @VoltageDropDiagnostics
      @VoltageDropDiagnostics  4 года назад +1

      ivan drago on these style sensors I’m not sure.
      The ABS module is looking for amperage changes and the sensors pull about 13ma of current which is similar to an LED test light.
      So that’s why I went with the LED test light instead of an incandescent light.
