**reply asap- hi, thank you for your video- I ordered one today2/14/23- is cruise control a problem? I can’t afford a $2800 mistake- please reply if cruise control is a deal breaker- thank you
I am looking to buy a mower, and I have seen true TWO levers on the right fender. I know one would be the mower deck height. What is the other one for. I am going to guess and say it’s the blade engagement??
Turn your key backwards like you would turn your headlights on and click the triangle. It's a one time deal thing. Great idea once you get the hang of it! I wasn't a fan of having to push a button on the Deere and this was a cool feature to me
I've the older 42" version of this mower, but mine has a cvt transmission instead of hydrostatic. It's got 260 hrs on it and still runs good. If I had it to do over again I'd never buy one with the lever operated pto again. The electric clutch is easier on the belts overtime and you'll never have to worry about having to replace cables or the pto handle. I've replaced them on mine and it was truly a pain. I bypassed the mow in reverse feature so mine mows either direction with no interruption ( dont fuss at me cause I'm not mowing around kids or pets) I've used it mulching leaves and grass and also in conjunction with a cyclone rake with good results. Mine also has a kohler engine, but it's the single cylinder 19hp. It's been good overall, but its gettin long in the tooth. I wish I could afford a new one with the electric pto and hydrostatic transmission.
I also have an XT1 that I bought in 2018. I have had no problems. The reverse switch must have been changed a little. On mine to be able to mow in reverse you just (after starting) turn the key back halfway & push that triangle switch & the red light comes on & away you go. I think they're dandy little tractors.
Dude this mower is so easy to put into reverse mow it isn't even funny. It's the reason I bought it. After you start it and before you start mowing put the key to the center position and hit the button, done. As long as you leave the key in the center position after that it will mow in reverse. Unplug the lights if you don't want them on. Never tried the the cruise control, my 2 acres is way too uneven and too many trees to use it. Think the most I'd get is the plow but probably no even that, would like to see that blower in action though. Thanks for the review.
Unhook the connection to the headlights if you want them off, unhook the seat feature if you want that off.. I love my cubbie I have the same one but 2018 model. My seven hilly acres it works great.
There are good reasons why you should learn how to disable the reverse blade disengage setting (which is super simple) It saves wear and tear on the clutch, pulleys, belts and PTO switch. Less chute clogging. And most important saves time. In my case a lot of time.
To active the mow in reverse feature while the pto is engaged simply turn the key to the middle setting or the reverse icon then press the orange button. Then the red light should stay on and pto should stay engaged. Also a video on the snowblower attachment would be awesome. I have the same model you do I am considering the snowblower attachment. Thank you

Bought this last summer 2022. Went to start it this spring with only 10 hrs on it and it didn’t start.

I haven't tried turning the key back. Maybe that's my problem lol
Thanks for taking the time to do a review. Contemplating getting one, too.

My XT2 I can set cruise control while mowing.
Thanks for taking the time for overview, nice.

Glad it's worked well for you so far. Keep us updated about this next winter with it.
Thank you, I definitely will.

Good God man if putting your mower in reverse is too complicated for you, gess man cutting grass is the least of your worries
Yeah it could be worse. I could be named Tom Green and I could not know how to spell properly. Get a life jackass.
