I remember my adoption day me and my sister got adopted I was 6 years old I still have my adoption dress I remember going to the court house and changing my name to make my mom happy. It was the best day ever!!!!!!!

When I married my wife she had a 3 year old daughter. We tried to get the biological "father" to allow me to adopt her but he said no. So, I raised her as my own for the next 23 years. At Christmas she presented me with adult adoption papers and like all the rough and tough guys in these videos I cried. We went before the court and I adopted her and even though she is married now the new birth certificate has our last name. She was my daughter all this time but now it is official.

Carter broke me. Oh my goodness! When his voice cracked as he read the message, his little head nod, and his “oh, thank you so much” in a weak voice… nope! I can’t! 😭😭😭🥰 Gosh I wanna give him a big hug. So incredibly happy for him! ❤️

What nearly killed me emotionally was right at the end seeing that little kid looking up at his father and grandfather sharing that love. I hope he appreciates and remembers that. Family is the one thing we should be able to rely on in life.

I was adopted by two angels when I was two years old. There is nothing that moves me more than seeing kids (and adults) get the parents they deserve. Doesn't matter HOW old they are - everyone deserves a loving Mom and Dad.

omg.. from 6.30 just melted my heart... i am adopted myself.. and now i have a partner and took her 2 kids as my own... we plan to foster ourselves and help those who are less fortunate.. god bless these ppl.. from being one of these children, there is nothing more precious.. than finding a family.

It's really difficult not to cry when people put their hearts on the line for something a momentous as this. And seeing the father figure that didn't ask for anything in return really appreciate the love that he showed throughout the years.

DAMN that last one broke me right up. The one at 4:12 did, too. That poor child has experienced her first heartbreak already, and it came from her father. That man who she now calls dad, I hope, understands the pain she was in and how important he is to her. May he never do her wrong and may she always love and appreciate him.
Every child deserves a father that loves them, but every little girl deserves to be able to call her daddy her Hero. I wish more men and women would understand --and want -- the responsibility they undertake when a child is placed into their hands. Their experience as a parent notwithstanding, it doesn't matter. Just always try to be there for them, keep your promises to them, don't compromise anything on them that you wouldn't for you. And don't abuse yourself for their sake, it only teaches them self-hate and self-destruction. Every child deserves a father that loves them like this stepfather -- now adoptive father -- loves this little girl.
The last one... gods, that was beautiful. That is proof that my words apply to the fellows, too. Seeing three generations of men standing together as those words were said, it hits you: That's what a family is meant to be like. For someone who's never had that sense, it's painful but sweet.
You said it best, the 1st was a father. any guy can "father" a child. the 2nd is a man and is a dad.

I cannot even imagine what it must be like to live for years & years feeling unloved & unwanted & just alone in The System & then finally knowing that you have a forever family. I just can't. My cousin had been in foster care in tons of different homes. My uncle and aunt went to court to adopt her. Being a child she didn't realize what happened at court. So she asked when she was leaving to a new foster home. I can only imagine how she felt when they told her they were now her parents and she would ever have to leave. Bless all who love children who they rsise even though not their biological child. And wonderful to see that love returned.

The voting system isn't about saying "I do or don't approve of this." it's letting the algorithm know you aren't interested in watching similar videos. I can think of many reason that would be true not the least of which being the sheer number of people that were never adopted or adopted and abused. People who have lost their family. Or people who simply don't feel comfortable watching strangers most intimate moments.

As a grown man who wasn't adopted by my stepdad, this is beautiful. He raised me and is my father, I guess he thought that's enough, and it is. I can tell you from experience it matters.

The Carter video always gets me. Such a lovely boy.
What really hits home with me is that, many years ago, when I was living with my parents, the neighborhood "mom" always had a foster kid. The "mom" would keep the foster kid until someone wanted to adopt them, then the foster mom would give the child to the adopting parents. That meant that, the child would be raised in part, by this foster "mom", until the child would be adopted, which meant that the child had no idea where they would end up. This created a lot of anxiety in the child. Seeing videos like this one, makes my heart melt because the children in this video, now had a family that they have been living with, and now wanted to adopt them, which made the child feel safe and secure, as they now had a permanent home.
