Great tip thanks, it has saved me baking another birthday cake or as you mentioned cutting off the base. Mine was as black as an Oreo and hard as a Gingernut but, this is done wonders considering the condition it was in. Now to smother it with icing!
Just managed to remove 70 percent of burnt skin of my 3 cakes I made for a function with this tip. Can't thank you enough. You are a 🌟.
