I'm bossy. I'm the first girl to scream on a track. I switched up the beat of the drum. That's right I brought all the boys to the yard... oh sorry just getting in the zone to sculpt this sukeban boss girl 👀 What's up guys! I am follygon and in this video I'm collaborating with the wonderful imawonder! She has graciously created a brand new artwork for me to translate to 3D. I know many of you are coming from imawonder's video to check out the second part of this collab, but if you haven't checked out her part yet, I encourage you to watch that first so you can see the character develop in 2D before I do my part in 3D. Click the link above and go give her some love in the comments! Hope you all enjoy this two part video and I hope to see you again in the next video. ✌️ Also, sorry I say gouache weird.

APOLOGIES FOR DONE GOOFING ON THE TIMING OF MY POST LOL
Ben this collab was so fun and I loved watching my girl come to life! You did such a great job of translating her into 3D! Also, for the superhero question I personally always want to choose teleportation but I didn’t even think about the possibility of error haha! Now I guess I need to finally watch Mob Psycho!

Answer to why they had the sailor uniform style school uniforms.
Their modern schools were heavily influenced by western ones and so were the uniforms, one uniform that they saw most of was foreign sailors. They basically meshed that with various other uniforms including actual school uniforms of the time and voila the serafuku.

Hey there Follygon! I just found your channel with this video and I just wanted to say you're already a huge inspiration to me! I'm about to go into my last year of undergrad and I only really found what I wanted to do with my life this past year, when I finally found an artistic outlet within the realm of computer science/graphics. I always had an artistic bend to me, but I love technology too, but I realized too late that I couldn't imagine just sitting and coding software for a living.

I'd love to be in the Epithet Erased universe. Basically, if you're lucky enough to be the one in five people, you're born with powers. The twist is that all of your powers must revolve around one specific word, called an epithet. If you can connect it to your word, then you can do it. Everyone's epithet is unique to themselves, and they can get really strange. There's a character duo whose epithets are "Coupon" and "Bellybutton", for context. I think it''s the only fantasy story (that I know of) that doesn't revolve around some big evil that'll destroy the world. I won't have to be scared for my life, if the show's plot is just "NECKLACE. GET." lmao
Enough about my favourite show ever, you're actually a really amazing sculptor! You always pop onto my feed eve now and then. and it never ceases. to amaze me.

I absolutely love this video! Fantastic work on this one! I've always thought that the workflow of dynamesh -> Zremesher -> dynamesh, (or rather the Blender equivalent dynatop -> Voxel remesh -> dynatop) really helps to get sharper and better defined forms, but I always see speed sculpts of people just banging out a perfect sculpt on the first go with just dynatop/dynamesh and I always thought "Am I doing something wrong?" Your explanations make the process seem much less "magical" than a lot of other people explaining their process, same thing for all your adjustments at the end of the video. Amazing job, and I'll be subscribed!

Not boring at all! I have been wanting to get into 3D modeling for so long but I know my pc is gonna crash since it has such little compacity, I can't wait to get started and move forward with my art

Okay so "Sailor" uniforms were introduced to japan in the lat 19th/early 20th century, with the reopening of japan to other nations, especially Europe and the USA. During the late victorian and edwardian periods, It was popular for children to wear sailor outfits, especially yachting or going outdoors this was especially true for wealthier families. It was just cute.
And Japan during the process of adopting more western practices, also adopted sailor costumes for children especially children in schools. As the suits had another military connotation and this was the time japan had become more militant. The uniform just happened to stick around post-militant Japan. Over time tho, sailor uniforms remained only for young children and girls. boys having a different but still somewhat militant uniforms.

given the characters battle readiness, the "ka" katakana on her shoulder is more likely the kanji for power. they're visually the same character but seeing it as a kanji gives it actual meaning, yknow?

Hey ya dirty skippers! 🤣 Came from Tina’s video, this was so cool to watch! It makes me want to learn digital sculpting, which I absolutely do NOT have the time or budget for, seeing as how I have a bunch of newly purchased art supplies I’ve been wanting to try that I haven’t even gotten to yet 😂
But hey! At least I can watch these and learn some skills for the future 😄

The cat-ears like thing on her hand is, indeed, a disguised brass knuckle. Y have a friend who has one. It is made from a very sturdy plastic, and instead of punching, it is made for piercing.
