Great idea, if you joisted across both containers and built the cabin in the middle, you'd get dry storage/workspace between the containers and guests would have a deck too

Mike get a Landrover roof tent company to sponsor you putting one of their roof tents on your container.

Kin brave matey, top Robins though.
Got a 300tdi disco in at the moment, just for oil leaks...well..
And new mud flaps, then ,better make something for the mud flaps to bolt to!
While doing this, i noticed some strange rub marks on the back diff casing....
Oh the fuel tank is being held up by the anti roll bar...oh the joys of landy land...17 gallons of fuel out, massive war with rusty bolts, tank out, beer time.😂

I think you should create an Overlander's Centre/Land Rover camp, Mike. It's bound to be a success, judging by how many people are doing the Pan American by Land Rover these days!

Would love to come down and strip a gearbox but only a small matter of about 5000 miles. The container bunkhouse sounds great if you need a basic layout drawn then......

Thanks for the offer James, but we are just going to wing it!
All it is going to be is an insulated shed with a bed and a few 'luxuries' like electric!

THose birds are very resourceful. I had a nest in my carport this year. They wedged that nest right into the rafters, I have no idea how it stayed up. They pooped all over my wife's disco 2! thankfully it was under a cover so all I needed to do was wash the cover, but still!
I am a little far to take a day trip, but I think that is a great idea. Hands on help from the professor!
Body work is alchemy. I know a few of these alchemists here in Mobile and they are absolute magicians.

The last bodywork I did was on the Spanish 110 replacing the rear 1/4 wing - painting in my shop is a no - no. Fumes are terrible. Not worth it

@@BritannicaRestorations Yea you really have to be set up and have a dedicated bay to paint. The guy who painted the roof on my ninety was an ace. Even installed a set of alpine windows that don't leak!

There’s going to be convoys of semi scrap Land rovers crossing the border now Mike. One room may not be enough. Looks like the robins will need a landing strip. This project could get out of hand really quick. How about a raccoon petting zoo as well? Cheers

There are some pretty amazing homes made out of or in shipping containers.
Can you get another one (though in recent years they have gotten costly) and stack and build a little place in one?

    • @BritannicaRestorations
