Fantastic start to Mountain Mikes Adventures your filming and editing has improved so much well done, I think you made the right call to be honest better safe than sorry and a good excuse to return 🙂 Enjoyed every minute thanks again.
Thank you very much. Yeah I think it was the right call but it was good also to test myself against the elements. I almost threw in the towel before Galtybeg but glad I didn't.
You definitely made the right decision safety first & a good reason to return . Really enjoy your video. I was lucky enough to hike to Galtymore & reach Dan Breen’s cave in the snow . Thanks to a great walk leader
You had me at camping 🏕 😄you definitely made the right call. Very bad conditions indeed. I’d say that mountain range would be class in winter ❄️ 🥶 a nice snowy hike and camp. Class video all the same love the sipping Sound from the cup of tea 😅 looking forward to the next one.
Haha! Yeah, it was defiantly the right call but I'm happy I was able to navigate my way out of it even though I hiked 3km in 2hrs in the dark. A winter hike would be very cool and thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it.
A cool adventure (and some of the coolest are when it all doesn't go according to plan). Some fantastic shots and editing 😊 I want a tent that is as easy as that to put up 😉 Filming really does add so much time to a hike! Great stuff 😊
Ha, thanks a Gerry. They are called the movie magic tent and they are so simple to put up its unbelievable 😜. It was fairly gnarly up there in the clouds but a great experience to navigate.
Nice camera work and editing: really gives the viewer a feel for walking on the Galtees. Told a strong story of a real hike. So, well worth watching and thanks for the for considerable effort of making it. A few more details of the route and how long it took you to get from a to b would add another level of interest. I hope you make more! Planning to watch lovely sunrises and sunsets - been there / done that: prepare yourself for disappointment!
Thank you so much Mike for that crital feedback. Great point about give the viewer more details, it's something I'll be giving much more consideration on future hikes. I suppose the trick is to find that balance between story telling and an informative video.
Excellent video Mike. Great shots and great editing! You made the right call at the end. Only one issue. The dog got a great farewell when you parted and poor Aoife didn’t get so much as a look back over your shoulder 😂
I'm guessing you are talking about the folklore with the serpent? The legend is apparently associated with both loughs and seeing I was camping beside Muskry I chose to talk about that one.
Dude, there's absolutely nothing to apologies about. I really appreciate people commenting when they think I've picked up something wrong because if they are right it helps me learn.

Thanks, Mary. Yeah it's a very good reason to return and I plan on doing so. Oh wow that sounds awesome.

Cheers thank you very much for the kind words.
Great video! Crazy how fast the weather can change - from good to bad to great! Really good filming too 👍
Thanks Ellie, yeah it really can its a dangerous thing hiking. Thanks for those lovely words.
That was lough Muskry. I think you had it confused with lough Dineen

@@MountainMikesAdventures oh right sorry about that 👍
