One small criticism. Is there a need to have large cards for such small text in the new dread cards. How about some art and more theme for those. They just seems as "do this for the game to be harder for no thematic reason at all". I also recommend to sleeve cards when going for the deluxe tokens. After all the first reason to get deluxe tokens should be for token durability. The same should apply to cards.
Yeah, you aren't wrong. Some art and thematic writing for each card would be nice. I don't sleeve anything for filming (the glare is bad in the videos), but yeah these cards are potentially worth sleeving if you'll play the game a ton.
7:30 According BGG start fill.left to right until you have 4 enemies. So If you unlock a 5th, 6th slot previous turn and that spaces was The only enemies is The board you fill just 1th and 2th slot Will be like 1th and 2th slot with enemies 3th and 4th empty 5th and 6th with The previous enemies
put in a token that powers you up but has a drawback then have the perfect mechanic to counter the drawback seems like a good strategy to use every game
Yeah, you are kind of forced into it a bit, but it's a tougher puzzle to crack without a ship like this one that has ways to deal itself consistent damage
It is important to note that not all of the ships have such a generous shield pool. One has 2, another has 3. The anomaly tokens coluld be a bit nastier devil's deal for those.
Thanks for the video. I got the base game for Xmas and I do like it, but don't love it. Wanted to know whether you think this (or the previous expansion) is a must-buy or adds anything really valuable to the gameplay. Trying to get out of the habit of always buying expansions just because I own the base game. :-)
@@OneStopCoopShop I think it was about 7:20. There was a point where you hesitated to place a 5th enemy card with the expansion Anamoly. You seemed to question if that was the right ruling.
Oh, if I’m understanding correctly, enemy abilities can push you above 4 enemies, but the basic number to refill to remains 4. So at the end of a future turn if you have 4+ enemies out you won’t draw any more
@@OneStopCoopShop I see, I haven't used that expansion yet, I am waiting to become familiarized with the core then add both at the same time. I also have to remember to discard energy used to repair shields...gave myself a little bonus there I did.

This game has always appealed to the sci-fi geek in me 😂. I will have to add this game to my wish list very soon.
It's so good!
Really clear and engaging, thanks!
Thanks for watching!

Yup, great point! The two ships in the expansion are tailor made to have an easier time burning shields
Played it a few times and only just now realised that your supposed to Start the Game with 1 of your Yellow Tokens in the bag too!!! 😅
It’s an easy little detail to miss!
Wow. At the start of the 3rd warp, I was doubtful. Fateful Lasers FTW.
That card completely turned that last warp around. I might have pulled out the win anyway, but not as easily!

If you don’t love the base game, nah, don’t buy any more. The expansions don’t change the core mechanics and play of the game.
@@OneStopCoopShop Thanks man.
Hi. 6:35. Please explain how did you buy that lvl 3 laser. Im planning to buy this game and this wasnt clear for me. Thanks.
The “P” power token I played at that moment deals one damage to you but gives you 3 energy to buy something
Love your videos!
Thanks!
Just saw another page called tabletop for one has a series of reviews called 5 after 5. You need to sue for copyright infringement 😂
Haha, I’ll just take it as a compliment :)
Is taking the 5th enemy right?
What are you referring to? A timestamp would be most helpful.
